Hotel Constanza is a great little hotel, at walking distance from Plaza Catalunya, the Cathedral, Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, La Sagrada Familia, and other landmarks. We stayed for five nights and it was just perfect. Although close to all these areas, the hotel is in a quiet, mostly residential street. I agree with other reviewers, that after all day in...

No doubt about Constanza, it is a value boutique hotel in the heart of Barcelona. We got a room with twin beds for 135 euros a night for 3 nights in May 2012. I hope my observations below can help future customers in making their personal choices. These are not necessarily critiques, but rather FYI's. Pros: 1. Convenient location, 4...

I've read many reviews before booking this hotel, and I stayed first 4 nights in the Grand Hotel Central for business, before moving to this one for my weekend. So, I knew upfront that it's less lux than the hotel I stayed for work, and that there'd be a bit of noise, and also that it's not right at the...

Nice hotel within easy walking distance (10) mins from placa catalunya and a couple of minutes from metro stop. Clean, nice room, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. A fair walk from the gothic area though so be prepared! Only reason I haven't given excellent is the fridge in the room didn't keep anything cold, and tea and coffee facilities...

Confirming what others have said that Hotel Constanza is a perfect place to stay to enjoy a visit to Barcelona. The location is very convenient to the bus from the airport and metro. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Make sure to enjoy the terrace in the afternoon. I would highly recommend the terraca for those evenings.

As a group of 3 couples, we recently stayed at the Hotel Contanza for 5 nights. We had booked well in advance as it was a 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration trip. We all found the hotel very clean and the rooms were small as expected in a central hotel, but well presented and more than ample for our requirements. We...

I stayed one night only in a small single bedroom. Ambience was ok, small flat TV (same as an average desktop computer monitor), toilet was clean and decent. The main problem was that walls are pratically not soundproof at all: noises from neighbours and corridor were simply unpleasant, especially if guests back to hotel late at night (and its quite...

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Constanza for 5 nights over the 2012 Barcelona Grand Prix weekend. The location as a base for the Grand Prix was pretty good. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station Passeig De Gracia where you can catch a train directly to the Circuit De Catalyuna at Montmello (a 30...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
