It was a good surprise. I stayed in a dorm 6 beds equiped. The room was clean with a good balcon, The bathroom was clean too. The staff helped me for everything. I appreciate The kitchen and The living room, with tv, pc, and a balcon to smoke or to see The panorama. I met very nice people @hostel paraiso....

I can't really fault this hostel: Comfy Beds, clean kitchen, great location and super clean. The bathrooms were great, more like a hotel en suite and there was always one free. The living area is spacious and a good social area. A great location, it was easy to walk to different places and the subway. Would definitely use again.

My friend and I had a 36 hour stopover to Barcelona and we booked a private room. The staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and even took the time to draw a custom top 10 things to do after asking us a few questions. The place is clean and best of all they encourage travelers to meet up with social events...

Bottom line: we got bed bugs from Paraiso Hostel. The terrace rooms are a dump. Do not sleep there if they try to make you go there. The entrance and common area suggest a decent hostel, but it is dirty. Worst of all, although the service staff are friendly my dealings with them suggest they realize they have issues but...

My partner and I stayed here as a 'hotel', not as a 'hostel' therefore we weren't interested in meeting other people or socialising so the fact that there wasn't a huge amount of entertainment and socialising in the hotel was a huge positive for us! If you are a solo traveler or looking to make friends, I wouldn't suggest this...

Nice enough hostel and clean but the dorm rooms are separated from the rest of the hostel with a separate kitchen and social area which means if it's quiet, you don't get to meet many others in the hostel. Maybe it was just a slow week but I found it very antisocial. The staff were friendly and the room was...

I thought the Paraiso Hostel in Barcelona was absolutely fantastic - so impressed. We only paid €5 or so a night which is extremely cheap but the value for money was excellent also. The whole place was clean, the showers were nice and hot and the communal kitchen/ living spaces were fab. I also thought the staff were friendly and...

I stayed 2 nights. 【GOOD】 Very near from metro station ,only 1 block & from airport bus station,5 blocks. A lot of restaurants are around the hostel. All of the staffs were friendly. Enough bath rooms & toilets. 【BAD】 Thin wall like a paper!!!!! I could listen everything what happened out...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
