We recently stayed at hotel condal for 5 nights. The property is located in a nice, safe, quiet lane just off the las ramblas; the bouqueria market n liceu metro station are only a few steps away from it. As far as the location is concerned, it can't get better than this - just a few steps n ur in...

Situated in the Gothic Quarter this was an ideal location. The room was very clean and tidy. It had a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were able to answer any questions we had. We didn't eat breakfast here as we wanted to sample the local independent cafes. Very close to an excellent...

My staying with Hotel Condal was overall satisfactory. The hotel is in a great, and I mean great, location. Is in the middle of the Ramblas, a major tourist avenue, but conveniently half a block in a pedestrian street, so you don't get all the transit. Boqueria market is 5 minutes walking distance, Plaça Catalunya maybe 8 minutes walking, everything...

This hotel is down a lane with no access for taxis to reach so beware you will be walking through the chaos of busy Barcelona with your luggage to get there. Our taxi sent us to the wrong place and la rambles was crazy busy so it was a real hassle trying to figure out where to go. Aside from...

Great location. Room was clean and serviced daily. Bathroom was good. Electronic safe wasn't working in the room but that was the only fault. 24 hour reception is great for late or early arrivals. Air conditioning was good as it was hot outside.

We only stayed here for one night but everything was fine. In a great location, in a small road off the Ramblas, perfect for exploring the small cobbled streets and sampling some delicious tapas. Good air conditioning, comfortable room, and wifi worked well. The shower was in a bath which was really high to step up over; I imagine this...

Room was large, the bathroom was large. Toothbrush, paste, comb, soap, shampoo & cream rinse for amenities. Make sure that you request a Juliet balcony that looks out at the street. Air Conditioning mostly cooled the room however 2 of 7 nights were very hot. Lobby & Breakfast bar air conditioned. Breakfast daily was good and also had a nice...

I may be being a bit harsh giving this only three stars. First the positives:great location, friendly staff, clean and tidy. The negatives:very thin walls it was like the people in the next room were in my room, odd plumbing noises. The dropped star is based on the daily rate not really being justified on the basis of the room...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
