A small hotel placed on the harbour leading towards Barceloneta beach. We were able to go to the beach everyday after a hard day of sight seeing.....Perfect. Rooms: Average sized, funky modern bedrooms. Excellent showers and air conditioning. Baby cot available on request. No fridge in our room, but available in other rooms. Noise is an issue if your room...

The location of this hotel is superb. Just a few blocks from the beach, close to museums, restaurants, convenience stores and ice cream parlors. The look of the hotel is fun and contemporary. The hotel is right on the harbor. Our room was very small, but it had everything we needed as we were only really looking for a place...

Stayed for 5 nights with my mum for a relaxing beach break and this hotel was great. Hotel is so close to the beach and a short walk to las ramblas etc. Lovely restaurants and bars close by and the best icecream shop next door! Roof terrace offered great views of the harbour and it was great to sit at...

We loved the Barceloneta neighborhood & the proximity to the beaches. the rooms are very contemporary & we had a window that opened on the main street. People walked up and down enjoying the great weather and the late sunsets - after 9pm. It was raucous, but the noise blended in all together. Staff was helpful & knowledgeable about the...

Stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a Med cruise. Hotel is in a good location near the beach, aquarium, and Las Ramblas. Walking to the cruise port is really not an option! We did it and it took about 1 hour! There is a port bus at the bottom of Las Ramblas which would have made life...

I sometimes wonder when reading other reviews what some people expect from a 3* hotel at the prices that you pay. We found this hotel more than adequate, rooms were clean and very comfortable, reception staff were friendly and very helpful recommending good sights to see. The location was superb and the views were lovely. Breakfast was traditional continental, ok...

We were charged £200 Euros a night for a dirty average room, that had not had the bed sheets changed, or the bathroom cleaned. The previous visitors hair was in the bed, and the bathroom was to say the least in a deplorable dirty state, the cleaner must have been off that day!!!. The receptionist in the morning appeared fine,...

I stayed at this hotel after a business trip at the Hilton Diagonal Mar Hotel which I believed was far too expensive and too far out from the main town. I chose this Hotel 54 Barceloneta due to the reviews on here and I wasn't disappointed. I was travelling alone so I wanted a cheap hotel close to the centre...

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
