This was the first hotel stay since restrictions lifted. While some of the great offerings were not available due to covid (wine hour and restaurant), it STILL shined far and above the rest. The rooms are spacious, clean, individually climate controlled and have great water pressure to help wake you up during that morning shower. You can get breakfast at the sister hotel next door but given the location of this hotel, you can go anywhere within 50 meters for great cafes. The staff are the real asset to this hotel. Always professional and accommodating. They care about you and your stay. They go out of their way to make sure your time with them is the best it can be. The rooftop pool is a cozy space but still allowed for plenty of folks with a full bar and light snacks. I would love to see full restaurant service but perhaps when things open up further. The attention to detail, the importance of the guest has not been compromized at all due to the situation. While I did miss those great features, it was still an amazing stay. I can't wait to go back in the coming months.

Yurbban Trafalgar was amazing!
The design of the property felt very contemporary and the staff was very hospitable at every turn. Spotless everywhere. Definitely felt more than their rating of a 3* hotel. This in part because you have access to their 4+* Passage property next door with spa and restaurant.
The room could have been bigger for an extended stay, but was very comfortable nontheless and the top floor views were great. We would have opted for a room with terrace, but they were sold out so book well in advance if you want your own balcony.
The roof terrace and bar were highlights of this hotel and the main reason we booked here. Views from the top were breathtaking and you could enjoy extensive views of Barcelona. The pool itself was typical for a city rooftop, more a plunge pool than lap pool, and was great for cooling down on a hot day. Only limited loungers and they occupy quickly so if you want one, go early. It would have been nice if the rooftop bar opened earlier to enjoy a cool drink while sunbathing, so bring your own refreshments if there before 4pm.
The spa is worth a visit, too. Since we booked our room online we got a complimentary spa visit. Strict 30 min time slots are availible directly from the spa reseption.
The restaurant at Passage was a fun hangout at wine o’clock where they served local wine and cheese daily for one hour 18.30-19.30 free of charge. Dinner there was very tasty and the service we got from our lovely Mexican born waitress was some of the best we got in BCN, but prices seemed a bit high for the area. Breakfast was also very scrumptious and included an a la carte main and a nice buffet equipt with a mimosa station among other treats.
We found the location of the hotel to be convenient. A metro stop is found within 100 meters and it’s only a brisk 5 min walk to Placa Catalunya. The neighborhood had a residential feel so not super touristy. A good selection of restaurants, an art gallery right next door (Banksy exhibition during our stay), cafes, supermarkets (Lidl being the closest also next door).
We asked for an iron+board to the room but received a key to their laundry room instead. The laundry room had washer/dryer, which are convenient if you want to travel light, but we found it annoying having to go all the way down to the first floor to do some ironing.
All in all an amazing visit and great value for money! I would have no hesitation booking with Yurbban Trafalgar in the future!

As you can see from my current level, I travel a lot. I review almost every property I stay in and try to review every restaurant though it can be a challenge finding the time to write a proper review. Anyway, I couldn't wait to write about Yurbban Trafalgar. To be graded as a three star is interesting. I found the amenities and service to rival many four to five star properties. I'll just make a list as it will be easiest
Location: perfect
Beds: Comfortable and great for a good night's rest
Pillows: Soft and cushy :-D
Shower: Roomy and great water pressure
Climate: Good air con and easily regulated
Room: Quiet and the window opens for fresh air!
Service: 5 star. The best staff you can ask for. Friendly and professional
Lobby: Peaceful and serene. Great place to get some work done should you require. Also nice sitting areas to meet with friends and colleagues
Wine time; Complimentary wine from 6:30 - 7:30 every night. Great wine, nice selection of cheeses to compliment the wines
Breakfast: Very good and reasonable. Not CHEAP but not over the top. You can get a discounted rate if you are staying more than one night. I got mine for €12.
Given it is a three star, you don't have tea/coffee service in the room so set your expectations. I am sure they can put a kettle in the room if you ask.
I went during the deluge that was storm Gloria so I couldn't take advantage of the roof terrace so I can't wait to go back and experience that!

The Good:
Excellent location - where Eixample meets La Ribera, within a few blocks of El Born and Gothic Quarter neighborhoods. Short walk to Placa de Catalunya, Las Ramblas, Museo Picasso, Parc de Ciutadella. 20 min walk to Barceloneta Beach.
The public spaces of the hotel are beautiful, the staff is excellent. The rooftop terrace with bar and pool is a great place to relax after a busy day of seeing the sights.
Breakfast is very good, albeit it is served next door at their sister hotel, Yurrban Passage. We also can highly recommend treating yourself to hydrotherapy and a massage at their modern and elegant Spa , also next door in the basement of Yurrban Passage.
The Not so Good: Our room was quite small. The stylish sink is in the main room, not in the bathroom and is right in front of the closet. This proved to be an annoyance - given its design, we were constantly dealing with water getting on the floor.
On our first day, our room flooded because the shower drain was clogged and water quickly spread to the rest of the bathroom and then into the main room. They came up and tried to fix the problem, but were only partially successful in clearing the drain. They would not relocate us - so for the rest of our stay we had to use the shower at very low volume to avoid another flood.

Having never travelled to Barcelona before, we wanted a hotel that was close to the centre of it all, we chose Yurbban Trafalgar because it was only a 5-10 minute walk away from Placa de Catalunya / La Rambla and we had the choice of also booking a room with a terrace.
We primarily travelled to Barcelona for work so this hotel was a prime location, we had the choice of sitting on the roof terrace, on our terrace or downstairs, where there was a coffee machine / hot water for tea to use as you pleased (great touch).
The roof terrace has the most beautiful views over the city and you could sit there for hours (day or night) and enjoy the views.
The hotel was immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are travelling to Barcelona.

100% perfect for all of our needs. The staff are outstanding, all so polite and will go above and beyond. Alexis on reception especially stood out and he was fantastic with our boys too.
Location is brilliant, for metro, restaurants, and lidl next door. Walkable to many sights too, please walk to the arch a 7min walk to the right of the entrance.
The hotel has a host of extras ; bike hire, portable WiFi for around the city, self service complimentary wine and cheese every evening, complimentary coffee and water available all day in the lobby and a breathtaking rooftop bar and pool. Accessible even in April, yes it was freezing but the kids gave it a try. The spa next door is also heaven as a treat. The sweets and easter eggs on reception were a welcomed daily treat too.
Breakfast is fantastic, a high standard and offers a variety of delights. Again served next door in a softly lit restaurant, with shuffleboard to keep children entertained if you have a 5 min wait for a table during busier times.
We were fortunate to have a family suite as there were 4 of us. Plenty of space (I was concerned having read other reviews), single bed for each child and huge shower. The room and hotel were spotless and tastefully decorated and furnished, room cleaned and replenished daily and the room fridge was a useful asset.
We'd highly recommend this hotel and loved the humorous signs around the hotel, a nice touch!

A great hotel in a very central, but quiet location just a few minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya. Great staff, excellent breakfast served in the sister hotel next door, and free water on tap to refill your bottles, and free hot drinks machine in the ground floor seating area, serving a selection of teas and coffees. There is also a Lidl a few steps away for anything you might need to buy. We had a room with terrace, with 2 deckchairs and a small table and chairs, which was lovely, to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The room also had a kettle and coffee machine, and a fridge, and small bottles of water replaced each day. The bathroom had big pump action dispensers of shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and body lotion which was a great improvement on the usual small bottles or combined gel/shampoo.

We had a great 4 night stay Yurbban Trafalgar recently. We booked a double room with a balcony which was spacious enough and had everything we needed (room 801). The bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together but it meant we had more room and was very comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. The only gripe with the room was that the bathroom door was glass with no lock and it didn't really close properly, but there was a clean public toilet with a lock on our floor so it wasn't a problem.
The Location is great, we either walked everywhere or jumped on the metro at Urquinaona which was one street away.
The wine and cheese hour is brilliant, both wine and cheese is very tasty and such a nice touch. We didn't book breakfast initially but decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our last day. Breakfast was a little on the pricey side, however the food was very good and there was so much choice.
Service was great, our room was cleaned each day and they refilled our room with water bottles. We had an evening flight on departure so the hotel was more than happy to store our bags for us after checkout whilst we made the most of our last day.
All in all, we loved our stay and we would definitely stay with Yurbban Trafalgar in future.

Yes they provide pool towels, there is plenty by the pooll :)
I am pretty sure that you can enjoy a drink at the terrace even if you are not staying in the hotel.
