It's probably fair to say it's only within walking distance of the train station if you have no luggage, but once you have that out of the way it's an easy stroll into town. I agree with others that it's very confusing having two hotels (Ultonia and Gran Ultonia) using the same reception and other facilities, and although we had...

Nothing amazing, but did what it needed to. Location is ok, but there are other equally good places ( and better ones) with an even more central location). Service was fine too, but nothing to write home about. Room was a bit worn out (we were in Hotel Ultonia, not Grand Ultonia), but the only really good plus was the...

We stayed in Girona as a base to see the Dali triangle whilst experiencing a new city. The location of the hotel is perfect for this and it was very close to a massive park for our dog to visit. We had a car and there was secure parking under the hotel, a bit tricky to locate at first, but...

As you´ll realise from reviews there is an Ultonia and a Gran Ultonia which is confusing as they have the same facilities, the difference is the rooms. Mine was fine - combi bath shower. Carpet and furniture a bit tired but all in all adequate. Plus good location halfway between the bus-train station and the old city.

As our flight was delayed, we had to stay one more night in Girona. City is great, we were just at the days, when the Flower Festival took place, incredible beauty through the whole city. But dissapointing was, when we arrived in the hotel to check in. At first we got a room - smoking, though I have asthma and...

As it was mention in other rewiev I spent 2 nights in Hotel Ultonia and 1 in Ultonia Gran. If you can choose, definitely choose Ultonia Gran. It is much better than normal 3 stars Ultonia and sometimes prices are just the same. Both hotels are in some building, close to railway station and very close to the old town....

As it is mention in a title of review Hotel Ultonia is close to railway station and very close to the old town. I have spent two nights in Ultonia and one night in Grand Ultonia Hotel. Obviously Grand Ultonia is much better and sometimes differences in prices between both hotels are not so huge so check prices (BTW both...

The price was excellent, the staff speaks good english, and location is good, but the best part was how willing they were to accomodate special needs. the travelling party are very tall and standard mattres length in spain tends to be 190cm. The staff really went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible and we were...

This hotel is a combination of an old hotel and a new hotel, with the superior rooms in the new part only slightly more expensive than the regular rooms in the old part. We didn't know this and stayed at a regular room. It was very cheap and OK, but very dated. The carpets, walls, beds, etc. all can really...

Agree with a previous poster that soundproofing could be better, but anyone can Google streetview and see it's on a main road; the upgraded 'Gran' part of the building is shiny, but the cheap section has that very advantage - it's cheap. it's a 2 minute walk from Placa Independencia, and placed for any of 4 bridges across to the...
