Just coming to the end of another stay at Madison Bahia. The rooms are still simply furnished and the price is still excellent value. The staff are lovely. The bar downstairs is now more or a burger bar and drinks/cocktails. The music is a lot quieter this year!!. The hotel by its own new website seems to be marketing itself...

Right in the centre of old town within easy walk of the railway station, beach and all bars and restaurants. Rooms basic but have air con, ensuite bathrooms which might be basic but are spotless and even a small balcony. Friendly and helpful service. Decent bar downstairs but didn't create too much noise. Great value for money for sixty euro...

We've stay here each October. Basic rooms with TV and ensuite bathroom. Friendly staff, centrally located. Just a couple of mins walk from the beaches. Free wifi. Cocktail bar on groundfloor. Music a couple of nights each week - ear plugs work a treat! Highly recommended when price considered.

“No good rooms. The rooms on the street are vey noisy, rooms on the other side more quiet. No soundproofing between the rooms.”

“The front of the hotel is on a busy drag so if you like your sleep ask for the rear of the hotel. We had 308 which had a terrace, only problem was Marmaduke the local pooch over the way with the big bark!”

“If they offer room 301, be sure to ask if the water pump is acting up and causing noise during the night. It kept us awake all night and we had to change rooms the next day. If sleep rather than nightlife is the priority, travellers should ask for rooms at the back of the building.”
