We were in the "Attic", a room at the top, the only room on the fourth floor. We were lucky to get this room because it is a four guest room. It has skylights and windows, a seating area, and it is very quiet. The staff is great, too, especially Lidia who always has a smile for you! Great prices...

The absolutely wonderful 17th century hotel has so many plus points... lots of space for socialising where many hotels would have reduced this to add more rooms...staff were amazingly friendly and accessible and helpful....beautiful hotel. Thank you

Dear Angela, We love reading good reviews about the service we offer in Pousadas de Compostela, but especially when the client realizes the improvements offered by a hotel like the Virxe da Cerca with respect to the competition. Thank you for your kind comments also about the staff services.

This hotel is a beautiful conversion of a historic stone building. The decor and furnishings are very appropriate to the remodel without being cumbersome or staid. In particular the rooms on the 3 Rd floor under the eaves with their long ceiling windows ,are excellent use of what would otherwise have ended up as closet space. The rooms are beautiful...

Stayed for 2 nights as we drove our way through Northern Spain. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke English. Rooms are somewhat dated, but very clean and comfortable. Not spacious. Good shower. Bed was hard, but nice linens and strong wifi. Lovely grounds in back with a large bird cage filled with finches. Basic breakfast buffet was included. Parking was...

This is quite an unusual hotel as its built in an old building with some new rooms added. At first it's quite hard to navigate around but the rooms are quite nice - we had a superior room with a view out the back. There is a nice lounge and bar area with outside seating. Staff were helpful and there...

A brilliant hotel for a short or longer stay in Santiago. All staff were excellent, most helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, airy, very clean, well equipped, quiet and relaxing. The breakfasts and dinners were of good quality and tasty. The garden added to the ambience and was a great place to relax with a book or food after...

This was my last hotel after walking for 5 days from Sarria to Santiago. Booked through Caminoways.com, this was a beautiful and luxurious end to my camino - sumptuous bed linen, beautiful rooms and bathrooms (I suspect, all unique) complete with honesty bar, and wonderful staff. On my return to Santiago, I will definitely stay here again!
