Detailed Reviews
Having got fed up with sitting around in the UK, the same old faces etc, we took ourselves off to Gibraltar, which is one of only a handful of places in Europe which Grant Shapps or Matt Hancock and the rest of the clowns running the Country haven't forced isolation from on returning to the UK.
The Hotel in situated just off the main Street, towards the end, with easy access to bars, restaurants and attractions. Gibraltar is so easy to get around anyway.
The reception is very large and Covid safe. The Hotel went a refurbishment over the last 12 months, so the rooms are all fresh and modern, with everything you need for a stay, including a kettle and coffee maker.
There is a wonderful 8th floor pool and restaurant with doubles up as a breakfast room which is clean and airy with views over the town and across the sea to Spain. The are a number of Sun beds No booking required as on Sunborn and a full menu and drinks service. The ground floor lounge was closed, which is a shame, as there is plenty of room for drinks on the outside terrace. Many of the staff speak Spanish as well as English and are very friendly and I think genuinely happy to see people coming to stay. Gibraltar is very limited with Hotels and not really associated as being a Holiday resort, however there are several good beaches and several that are not, all a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk, the weather at this time of year being in the high 20's. As yet there are no restrictions with eating out after 10pm etc, and the place feels quite normal apart from the odd face mask in shops and at the airport.
For 5 days there are ample places to explore and things to do.
As a short break I will definitely being going back in the next month, the charges are reasonable and breakfast is included depending on the package. Wifi is included FOC.
Finally Gibraltar is both both Tax & Duty free, so drinks are cheap, A Litre Bottle of Gin from ÂŁ11.99 and Fags at ÂŁ23.00 for 100 and no need to change any money up.

We were on holiday in Spain when Covid-19 forced Spain into lockdown we needed to move to Gibraltar pretty quick, a quick browse on BDC and we selected The Eliott. Straight away we were made to feel welcome, we arrived at 10am our bags were looked after whilst we went for breakfast and allowed access super early to our room at noon. During these strange times we were very impressed by the handling of the situation cleanliness was exceptional as was the service. As Gibraltar was forced to close bars, cafes and restaurants we had no option but to eat in the hotel... probably something we wouldn’t have chosen to do as a rule.... but once again the service was of a very high standard and the food was good.

After a nightmare of a morning, we had to book a hotel very last minute and came across this gem on booking.com. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who realised that they were in fact fully booked and to accommodate us, they kindly upgraded us to the executive suite on the 8th floor.
The hotel in general looks modern and the decor is very stylish. The room was spacious with a huge window and a nice view and the air-con worked perfectly (special mention to the mattress as well, we felt like we slept on a cloud!). Every area of the hotel was very clean there was always staff on hand if we needed anything.
The pool area is great, with seating and tables around and the sun loungers situated at the top. There’s plenty of sunny spots as well as shade if needed and the staff in the restaurant come up and take drinks orders, so you can fully relax and have a drink without even moving. The pool is 1m deep I believe, which was perfect for the families visiting with kids.
The location is also ideal, less than a minute walk to the Main Street, close to and walking distance to pretty much everywhere (the beach is about a 15/20min walk and you could even walk to and from the airport if you wanted to).
In general, We couldn’t recommend This hotel enough and will definitely book again if we come back to Gibraltar.

The hotel is in a central position and the rooms are a good size and standard and contain safe, hairdryer, ironing board and iron. The staff are really friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The lifts require room card to operate so security is good. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around and the hotel has a good restaurant and bar.

Booked a short 3 night stay and definitely was not disappointed. The hotel is very modern, lovely and very clean. The room was simple fresh modern and clean. The bed was amazing so so big and soft. Bathroom was nice with walk in shower. There was Tea,coffee, iron, hairdryer and mini fridge all in room so really everything you need. Restaurant and pool is on 8th floor so a real suntrap. Breakfast was nice and simple full English on offer with cereals or continental. If had one bad thing to say not sure the restaurant big enough especially in height of season July August but was fine for us.
Staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel is literally 10 min taxi ride from airport which cost ÂŁ10 location is good with only a 15 minute walk down high street to get to Ocean Village and 5 min walk to marina. In all I would def give 5/5 and will be back.

We originally stayed here when it was the Holiday Inn way back in 1985 and and on our return in September for a short break felt it had been beautifully refurbished from the spotless floors of Reception to our very clean bedroom and bathroom. Our room was on the 6th floor and faced the Rock meaning I could relive memories of the older buildings from when I was young and visiting my grandparents. Eating breakfast at the wide windows of the 8th floor restaurant was a real treat looking out to the Straits. Another treat for me was being able to order freshly poached eggs. Wonderful views from the upper terrace above the Pool too. Staff at Reception were very friendly and helpful; we had arrived earlier than 3 pm but were able to leave our luggage in their office while we explored Main Street. We would definitely go back!

Rooms
We had a large room which overlooked the front of the hotel, which was prety quiet. Our experience from travelling to many capital and large cities is that rooms with a view over the city often come with a price of enhanced street noise.
This was extremely clean and had the normal toiletries, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities.
Location
This is a short walk less than 2 minutes to the main street and is therefore a good location. There were taxis at Casements Square, which is a 5-10 minute walk. If you walked through a tunnel, then you reach the bust station. A day hopper adult ticket was ÂŁ2.50 (as at October 2020) which was excellent value as you can go to lots of Gibraltar. The buses are about every 15 minutes during the week and 30 minutes at the weekend.
Staff
The staff were very friendly. We ordered a taxi to the airport and this was both cheap and punctual.
Food
The breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of food including breads, cereal, fruit, cheese, ham and cakes. There was always plenty of food available. This was served to us because of the covid-19 pandemic.
We didn’t eat any other meals in the restaurant and therefore can’t comment.

This was a wonderful little find. A beautiful hotel overall. The rooms were stunning. Honestly, you will not come across a more comfortable bed. Personally, I had a king room and it was fabulous. I had my breakfast delivered to my room daily at a cost of £12.00 but, you won’t need to eat again until dinner time as there was so much food. The cleaners who look after the rooms leave 2 x bottles of still water, 2 x bottles of Prosecco and a miniature box of the most delicious chocolate truffles every day. The shower room was fantastic and, again, they provide shampoo, body wash, body lotion etc. There is also a great hairdryer in the drawer so no need to bring your own. There is also an iron and ironing board in the room. Plus, of course, a coffee machine and, in addition, tea and coffee making facilities, too. The WiFi works perfectly on the ground floor, where I downloaded everything I wanted for when I was in my room. The staff were exemplary....namely, Megan, Paraic and Fer who honestly couldn’t do enough for everyone. It is within very close proximity to everything you need locally. The taxi service on the island is utterly first class, so getting around is incredibly easy and inexpensive. I went to the Sandy Bay beach for a little change of scenery and that was wonderful, too. You will not be disappointed with Gibraltar. My first visit but one of many as I’ll be going back now every year. 5* and the most fantastic holiday.

After booking an Air B and B in Gibraltar in June that didn’t work out in the end (our host left us stranded as they never contacted us even after we arrived in Gib) we were faced with the potential of arriving in Gib with our two young children and no where to stay.
At 10:30pm the night before we left the UK I contacted The Elliott out of desperation in the hope that they would have a room for us should the worst happen and we arrive in Gib with no where to stay (which it did). Lucas on reception answered and at first was doubtful that there was any rooms as they had become quite booked up. I was over the moon when he explained that there was a room for me and my family! Unfortunately we were unable to cancel the Air B and B as we had not yet exhausted all avenues of contact (meeting the host in person to check in, scary prospect with a 9 and 4 year old in toe). This meant that if I had paid a deposit to the Elliott and the Air B and B had worked out we would have been badly out of pocket. Lucas told me not to worry. He took my details and told me that he hopes to see us tomorrow but if we do not check in because the other accommodation works out we were not to worry. This gave us the most amazing peace of mind. To know that either way we would be able to stay in Gib was just amazing and that is all down to Lucas. Thank you so much.
Upon arrival we were so overwhelmed by how lovely this hotel was. It was modern and clean and fully compliant with Covid 19 rules. Lucas was just as friendly in person as he was over the phone and gave us all the information we needed on checking in. He explained that our room had one large bed and that we should go and see how many additional beds we would need for the children. Well! The bed in the superior king is huge and extremely comfortable. We easily slept in it with our four year old and a put up bed was organised for our 9 year old within minutes at a small extra cost per night. He says that the bed is very comfortable.
The rest of the room is lovely to with a modern luxury bathroom, air conditioning, tea making facilities, a pod coffee machine, small cooler for drinks and a small balcony with wonderful views of the old town. The hotel is in a brilliant location just off of Main Street. Which is a great place to be with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. The bus service in Gib is great. You can buy a hopper pass for ÂŁ2:50 a day and take as many rides as you need.
The breakfast was also very very good. Pastries, continental, full English breakfast (sausages are so tasty) toast, tea, coffee and fruit. You can also order things like poached eggs directly from the kitchen through the waiting staff.
This hotel is faultless and we would absolutely stay again. Thanks again to Lucas for his amazing kindness and restoring our faith in humans at a truly desperate time!! Hope to see you again soon.

We stayed here as part of a BA Holidays sale deal. The hotel is ideally located for Main Street (2 min walk), the rock cable car base station (15 minute walk) and the marina (15 min walk). We got a taxi from the airport (the easiest way to get there) for around ÂŁ8. Although very close to Main Street the hotel is an oasis of calm. We were checked in efficiently and allowed to access our rooms a little earlier than the allocated check in time (bag storage is available until then). Our room was 609 which faced out to the water. Being in a city of a working port, you dont have panoramic views, but the view was pleasant none the less. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a huge TV. The only slight niggle was a bit of a lack of storage space for clothing but as we were only on a city break, we made do.
The bathroom had a great wet room style shower, sink and loo.
Breakfast is served on the top floor and has good views over the city. Due to Covid the breakfast is not self service and you have to go to the serving area to get juice, cereal and a cooked breakfast. unfortunately at busy times and with some guests unable to follow simple instructions this got a bit chaotic, but the extremely hard working staff managed it with courtesy and politeness at all times.
There is also a rooftop pool and a sundeck, which were also busy, again some guests can be a bit selfish and hog loungers all day but this is not the fault of the staff or the hotel.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Gib.

The hotel welcomes non residents to use the bar/dining facilities so no reason you couldn't avail yourself of them after checking out. As for courtesy room or similar, I have no doubt they would accommodate you in the best way they can but a quick e-mail to them for clarity's sake should sort the issue.
As far as I am aware it's per room
