The Rock Hotel advertises itself as having served pop stars, politicians and royalty... they really must care about your fame then as we had some of the worst service from the front desk, to cleaners, to the absolutely shocking bar / lounge. It went like this. Front Desk: I called to ask for shuttle service from the airport which is...

Dining and sitting room have nice views. Staff are kind and helpful. Rooms very plain and almost cold...but all have some sort of view. Suggest you think hard about hiring the guide that the desk advocates. He's fairly adequate but over priced. Overall I would skip Gibraltar. Friendly but a definite seedy feel.

The Stones seem to be amongst the small number of the great and good who have not stayed at The Rock. Very nice hotel with a wonderful location looking right across to Spain and Africa. The public areas are very comfortable and it is lovely to eat on the terrace. The staff, particularly those in the restaurant and bar, area...

Recently spent 4 nights at the beginning of March. Excellent hotel with lots of history. Newly refurbished bright spacious rooms with stunning views and a balcony to enjoy the sun. Plenty of choice at breakfast in the very pleasant dinning room or if the weather is good you can dine on the terrace. Extremely courteous and friendly staff. Would defiantly...

I got engaged at Rock Hotel this month! The staff on reception and at the bar went above and beyond to help my fiancé to pull off his proposal. The hotel itself is a little rough around the edges but has everything you need and can't complain about the service. When we were late to check in they gave us...

Food and customer service were very good. Problem was location across from the industrial harbor which was noisy all night long so windows could not be left open and air con not always working. Worse for us were the incredibly hard beds, which even with a topper were difficult to sleep on so not much sleep for the duration of...

My wife and I have just returned from a week in Gibraltar and we stayed at the Rock Hotel. There is much to be admired in this hotel; the staff are friendly and courteous, the service is good and every room has a sea view. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed - with tea making facilities and a small...

I sent an email on the Rock website for a room price and 2 days later I had heard nothing. I emailed again and they came back to me with a price way in excess of anything I could get online. I guess they don`t want me to stay there.

Recently spent three nights here as a tourist. The hotel is well situated, it would require a taxi ride from the airport costing about ten pounds, but its quite a long way so you wont want to walk realistically. Stayed in a twin room with a balcony, this was just perfect in the morning or evening to look out across...
