Hotel is at an excellent location. Close to everything! Nice rooms, cute restaurant and bar downstairs. I would highly recommend! Close to many places to eat. It was pretty quiet, despite being in a busy area.

Me and my father had a lovely paella in the restaurant. Girl on the door and the waitress were both really friendly. The restaurant was interesting because it has a glass floor where you can see the ruins of the medieval Muslim fortress, now used as a wine store. Only downside was that it was very quiet. We went on...

We wanted a place near where our son lives, this was ideal and such a great place to stay. Room, food and service all excellent. Although we had a room with a balcony overlooking Cava Baja we hardly noticed the noise at the weekend with the window closed.

This is a motel/hotel in the Central part of the City of Madrid. We only went to the restaurant for Tapas. Our experience was that the restaurant was very well presented, clean and the staff was pleasant. The menu offers your typical Spanish Tapas, even though they were missing octopus, weird for a Tapas restaurant not to offer this, but...

What a great hotel this is. When you go to Madrid on a city trip you hope for a hotel close to the Plaza Mayor (5 min walk), Sol (7 min), busstops and metrostations (2-7 min), restaurants in all categories (0,5 min) (including a good restaurant in the hotel). And you hope for a staff that can answer all your...

This hotel is very charming, quaint and in a great location. We walked to many of the main sights and were impressed with all the great restaurant options. It's a 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor and the oldest restaurant in the world, Casa Botin. My husband and I stayed for one day/night this past weekend and were comfortable and...

This is a lovely small hotel in the Madrid historic center. It is conveniently located, a 10 minute walk from the main square in Madrid, Sol. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious enough and clean. The only downside is that the rooms are facing an open eating area and giving the late spanish lifestyle, it...

Very happy that we picked this hotel. Combination of old charm, elegance and modern amenities. Very helpful staff with big smile. Nice to get welcome drink. Comfortable bed and good shower. Very close to Plaza Mayor. Buffet breakfast was decent which is served in cute little restaurant inside hotel. Only issue was a faint traffic noise in our room facing...

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
