From the moment we arrived we hated this hotel. The staff were rude and inattentive, there was no customer service just an expectation that we would be grateful that they even looked at us. It was appalling and totally unwelcoming. The rooms looked nice but are tiny, with beds that literally kept us awake all night and gave us muscular...

The hotel is lovely for so many reasons. Location is ideal and not too far to walk to any of Madrid's attractions. Our room was clean and modern with comfy beds and good air con system. Although we had little to do with the staff they seemed pleasant. The downside, as others have mentioned, is the noise you can hear...

I had a short stay, just one night coming back from NYC in a very exhaustive trip. Those guys put me in the room before the check-in time (I arrived 10 am) and made my staying really pleasant by giving good recommendations for quick food in the neighborhood and taking care of my transportation back to the airport. The rooms...

The hotel is based in a good location to explore the city and enjoy what it has to offer. The staff were really pleasant and welcoming, and more important the room was super. Spacious and light, with functioning AC system- which we were pleased about as it was 40 degrees during our time in Madrid! If we were to return...

I went to this hotel for a city break. The rooms were clean and well presented, however were a little cramped. My room was based on 3 adults sharing and with 3 single beds in the room full access to the worderobe was restricted. The staff however were very helpful and welcoming and made a few phone calls on our...

The location was good and not great. First We check in at Leonardo Boutique Hotel, 5 blocks north from Leonardo City Center. We woke up the 7am with workers on the street. It was horrible. So they moved us to Leonard City Center. The girl who agreed to get us a room, gave us a room on the second floor...

Good central location, next to two metro lines, simple but nice rooms, friendly service. The main problem was the noise: rooms are quite badly insulated and you can hear everything what's going on in the hallway or the rooms next to yours. If you want to sleep in in the morning, good luck because you'll hear all the guests neighbouring...

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
