I was booked by my company at this hotel for 3 nights while a was working in Madrid. The room 1009 was nice and clean, room mate was very polite, I had done the online check-in as requested however there is no point on doing it, ones you arrive to check-in, the Covid 19 protocol on place make you to sign a lot of documents which I am ok with that because it is for our own safety. I had dinner at Breakfast at the hotel during my entire stay, the food was the same the 3 days. I understand that there is restrictions because of COVID however there is no information about services been affected at the Hotel, such as pool and spa not working at all, this information should be written somewhere, if I knew that I will book myself in to another property. I had a very early flight to UK 06:00am went to reception in the evening to pay all my expenses, at 04:00 am while I was on my way to the taxi booked, the receptionist stopped me saying there's an unpaid accommodation to be settled, it was really strange, I was really embarrassed because my 3 nights accommodation was paid by my PA online, the receptionist told me that he didn't know and it was best to pay, he also mentioned the hotel will be in touch with me about this issue that never happened till now, I had paid the amount requested and left very confused but till now, I had no response from the hotel. I have to highlight the Covid protocol on place, it is era well designed with hand sanitizer everywhere including inside the lifts.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed at the Princesa for one night in a level room and would highly recommend. From the moment we arrived staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was great, easy walking distance to all attractions. The ‘level’ room service was outstanding. Welcome drink on arrival, managed an early check in too. Room, well equipped and fabulous views, although no English tv channels. From the outside hotel looks tired but inside it’s very impressive and modern. Breakfast, so much choice. The level service is definitely worth the upgrade. Plentiful self serve high quality and branded drinks and snacks through the whole day.

Do not book, was meant to stay in may and not only were my flights cancelled but the hotel was CLOSED was refused refund and after sending 10 emails and receiving no response and calling numerous times I was told “top of the queue to be looked at” I have been top of the queue since the 1st May!! No one has called me or even acknowledged me, Worse service ever received! they didn’t care and if I called up was just told can’t help your top of the Queue! I would hate to be at the bottom of this Queue Don’t touch Meliá clearly on the edge of going bust save your money and hassle and book with anyone else!!!! AVOID, and don’t ring customer service!!!!

We were due to stay at this hotel on May 25th. The hotel was still closed and our flight had been cancelled which was clearly out of our control so we requested a refund. Melia refused despite this not being our fault. We were offered vouchers which we explained is not appropriate - our son has asthma so we are not going to be risking any travel for some time plus we are still grieving having just lost a family member to this awful virus. We are not in a position to want to travel for a very long time and Melia showed no empathy when we explained our situation. No contact with Melia for a month despite asking for updates. Hilton on the other hand were proactive and helpful - a cancellation and refund was no problem which showed the vast difference between both hotel organisations.
