The hotel is small but has 24/7 reception and the personel was nice and helpful and gave us some good recomendations for restaurants nearby. The rooms are big with two big beds and even a kitchenette but we did not use that. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, insted we walked 150 meters to a small café and had a good breakfast.

We spent 3 nights in Vp Jardín de Recoletos, 2 when we arrived in Madrid and 1 at the end. We booked 4 rooms and all of them were very good, quite large and extremely clean, beds very comfortable, linens and towels very good. It´s a small hotel in a small street with a fantastic location next to Serrano and Puerta de Alcalá. The people at the reception are all very nice and helpful. I did not give a 5 rating because of breakfast, it´s more expensive than other hotels we went to, they charge by item you order instead of a breakfast package like all the hotels in Spain and breakfast does not start until 8:30am.

Couldn't stay in this favorite hotel. We booked too late but stayed there previously the year before and it is a great boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. The location is upscale with excellent service, while rooms are small, it didn't matter.

Our 3 night stay at this hotel was wonderful. After an 11 hour overnight flight from Costa Rica we arrived exhausted at 11 am and asked if there was any chance we could access one of our rooms early. The receptionist directed us to a very nice coffee shop and said to come back in an hour and she would see what she could do.........we came back and were able to get in one of our rooms for some sleep which was amazing customer service. The rooms are very big complete with a small kitchenette and a fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks. The beds are really comfortable and the bathroom full of toiletries. The location of the hotel is tucked away down a narrow side street so despite being only a few mins from restaurants and only a little further to the Archeological museum and the Prado my room was blissfully quiet even though it was street facing. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs etc cooked to order. This was a wonderful stay at an excellent hotel with helpful friendly staff ( especially the young man at breakfast ).......we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed in a tripple room as we had our teenage son too. The room was large, bright, clean and very comfortable. There is a kitchenette in the room which is useful and the fridge was stocked with complementary free drinks on our arrival which is a nice touch, but for the Brits staying there, there is no kettle and you can boil water in tiny espresso cups in the microwave or heat in a large pan on the hob if you want to make tea. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. They directed us to where to eat and where to visit providing us with maps etc. The location is great, it is a very short walk to cafes and bars as well as the metro and bus stops. although we walked to many places. Retiro Park is very close and a great place to hire scooters, wander and to relax and people watch. I would happily recomend this hotel to anyone and already have to my friends.
