You cant ask for more based on their price and location!! Every time I go to madrid, I always stay there!! Is the only hotel that I actually divide into two different rooms with my family because of their cheap price!

Location, location, location, which is important on a city tour, and the hotel Anaco is definitely in a fantastic location. Right in the centre, but the side street location means you avoid city night noise. We were lucky and got one of the renovated rooms on the top floor, with new beds, clean bathroom and nice small balcony. The staff... More

You get a good bed and a good shower for the few hours you spend on the room during a city trip of 3 days. Free Wifi is a pro, a little bit too warm on the room. Breakfast is very basic. Good price/quality !

The good points: Hotel is in a decent location. My room was pretty clean, although in need of some paint on the walls/plastering on the ceiling. However, friends who stayed in 2 other rooms complained of very moldy bathrooms. The bad points: I've stayed in worse hotels in terms of the rooms before, but I could never consider staying at... We stayed here last week for three days as we'd never been in Madrid and fancied a quick look. The hotel's in a great location, being only 200 metres or so from the Puerta de Sol. The room was pleasantly furnished and had a balcony that was a lovely place to catch some afternoon sunshine. The bathroom was well-equipped and... More

This hotel was not great. Very dirty hotel. We stayed here with our school, and this is basically a place to stay with your school. If you were to stay here with family or solo or whatever, you would be very disappointed. Even we were disappointed. The rooms were disgusting, not very clean, there were stains on the walls, the... I would recommend Anaco and come back for sure! Unbeatable for the price and location! This is a little decadent hotel for 3*, but I loved the location, the rooms were cozy and with all you need with a nice bathroom and insonorized windows. We did not use any public transport for sightseeing, the location was so great we did... More

Hotel was typical 3 star city centre quality and clean and comfortable. Location is excellent - just off Gran Via at metro station. Really handy to explore all around with many landmarks, bars, resaurants all around.

Hotel Anaco's is located in the beautiful area between gran via and puerta del sol, accessible from the bajaras airport by train. Great Location as starting point for most tourist attractions that can reach by foot. Thanks God because the neighboring shops, cafes, restaurant and fast foods (KFC,mcdonals and Starbucks) shops are there, sad to say that Anaco don't offer breakfast.... Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
