A very good room, good wifi, excellent service, only issues are the aircondition in the room and the loud noise of the neighborhood (you cannot sleep with open window, so the aircon should work perfectly)

The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are very pleasant now. The internet was working properly and the staff very friendly. The only thing I would improve is the breakfast because sometimes didn't have many fruits.

Excellent level of personal service shown by staff and a perfect location to explore the best of Madrid. Rooms are fairly basic by modern standards but they are very clean with quality bedding, towels etc. Room decoration has not changed since my first visit several years ago and a major refurbishment would surely place it the top league of expensive...

I've been to this hotel twice in 2016. By chance I got the same room each time. The wall are a little thin if your neighbours are noisy in the night, but otherwise the hotel is very nice. Clean stylish rooms and helpful friendly staff. However this hotel's greatest asset is it's location, about 20 paces from Gran Via, which...

It's clean, the staff is great and all speak English. The accommodations are adequate...probably above average for not paying a fortune in Madrid. It's located step away from Gran Via - a very busy touristy shopping street. So, maybe for some that is good, some bad. But the hotel is situated in a central part of the city. We could...

I loved the hotel location, downtown, close to Gran Via subway station. The staff is very friendly. After checking in I had to carry my heavy luggage 4 floors because the elevator was not working. Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
