I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and have enjoyed the comfortable quiet rooms and the excellent breakfast and service across the hotel. Reception staff are informed and helpful and the restaurant staff are most pleasant and attentive.

This is a really good place, extremely friendly and accommodating, very centrally located especially if you're planning on museum hopping. The hotel is mostly very tasteful, clean and comfortable. It is very affordable! If you go, I highly recommend you spend an extra 50 to get room 506, which is on the rooftop with its own private terrace. The furnishings...

Excellent location if you are interested in visiting the best art museums of Madrid, this hotel is also close to Retiro for walks in the park, and Sol and old Madrid for the best in dining, tapas, and fun. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfasts comfortable beds... good rooms, if a bit dark and ours without a window to anything...

Nice central location for visiting Madrid. Stayed in a double room that was big enough for two people staying a few days. The room faced the side of another building so very quiet. The breakfast offered by the hotel was well worth the money. They have eggs, meats, vegetables, fruit, yogurt with toppings, coffee and tea. Would definitely stay here...

We got there exhausted from our trip over the pond, our room was ready and we had a wonderful desk clerk named Veronica, waiting to assist us. The room was clean, quiet, the bed was awesome! The shower was enjoyable even for someone who loves hot hot showers. The hotel is located in a great street where there are a...

My husband and I recently spent three days in Madrid; and we couldn't have found a better hotel--perfectly located and extremely reasonable for the area! Petit Palace Lealtad is on a beautiful, quiet street, just down a bit from the Retiro Park and the Prado. It is definitely within walking distance of the Sofia Reina Museum ( with Picasso's mural...

I really like this chain of hotels - this is the 3rd one I have stayed in. They have everything you need, are clean and safe, have funky decor, and are well priced. And the locations are all great. We were less than 5 minutes from Prado and Retiro, about 15 minutes from Plaza Mayor, 10 minutes from Gran Via...

My wife and I stayed at the Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza for seven nights. We loved it. The hotel is located on a quiet street in the heart of Bourbon Madrid - close to the art museums, the Paseo del Prado, and the Parque del Retiro. It's just a short taxi ride from the Madrid Atocha train station and the...

Nice hotel in a great location, next to Retiro Park. Staff were very friendly, free breakfast was excellent and very clean rooms. Only negative is the double bed was not the most comfortable as the mattress kept sliding off the base.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
