Room was a perfect "getaway" room, large bathroom, safe in the closet. I was in Madrid to visit museums, and the location is perfect -- easy walk to Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza. Breakfast buffet was great -- sadly became addicted to churros & coffee for breakfast, but plenty of other options. The hotel is surprisingly quiet for the location,...

Dear Bethliness Thank you for your highly rated review of the Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza Hotel. We are truly grateful that you enjoyed our rooms, services, location and buffet breakfast. Now that you are addicted to the most traditional Spanish breakfast (café con churros) I hope that we see you again in the future whenever you visit Madrid again ;)...

The hotel was nice, the room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, it is very close to Prado Museum, El Retiro Park and many restaurants. Overall good value for money.

This hotel is close to the El Prado museum and all the nice shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and perfect for a family of four (children have their own bunk bed). We didn't try the restaurant since there were many options around the block.

We have stayed here a couple of times and will hopefully stay again. We love the location. Central but quiet with the park on one side and a short but pleasant walk into the busier city areas on the other. It is also well situated for the airport bus with a stop a minute's walk away. The rooms are nicely...

Very nice hotel a short walk from historic Madrid and the Prado and Thyssen. Quiet street in a very upscale neighborhood though walkable to everywhere. While a historic building, public areas and rooms are creative and modern. Not traditional decor at all. The desk staff were extremely helpful with recommendations to go beyond tourist areas and experience real Madrid. Our...

Loved the Petit Palace Lealtad Palaza! Nice, clean hotel in a safe neighborhood. Vanesa and Laura at reception were fantastic - so helpful! This hotel is one of these with few services... No restaurant, no cafeteria, NO GYM. There is a saloon very nice, with three or four sofas... but this is all. They offered a meeting room (business) which was pretty small, hardly natural light (although they offered as this), beamer old (not focusing properly, fuzzy). Room very COLD, with bunk beds...

Spacious standard room with no outside view. Bed is firm but comfortable. The power shower was very good (no bath which we don't need). Good heating as most nights were below zero. There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room (otherwise 5 stars), slippers but no robes. The self-service breakfast was very good with healthy options such as...

A wonderful hotel in a refurbished older apartment building. Receptionist was so friendly and helpful--a great relief after a long day of travel. Room was immaculate. Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
