I stayed here on a one night stopover so didn't spend long in the hotel but all facilities, staff, room and continental breakfast were faultless. Not the cheapest hotel in the centre of Madrid but for convenience, comfort and friendliness it would be hard to beat.

Located ight next to Sol Metro station. Staff are incredibly helpful and speak very good English. We arrived much earlier than we were due to check in and we were still given our room early. They provide you with a password for free Wi-fi. Bathroom is amazing, great shower and rooms very clean with air conditioning. Beware it is noisy...

The hotel is on a pedestrian cobblestone road, so it's not accessible by car. Our taxi dropped us off at the main road and instructed us to walk a few mins down this promenade. We pulled two heavy suitcases each, past street performers and gypsies in our faces, begging for money. Being on the street is great during your stay.....

So, location is perfect if you want to be where everybody at leasts passes through in Madrid: 2 steps from Puerta del Sol. That said, the hotel is clean, nice, confortable if not too spacious rooms. Overall the experience is good, but it is indeed noisy. You can request quiet rooms, that face an interior courtyard, and those in fact...

This is an average hotel (3 stars) but the room was very clean and confortable. They provide free Wi-Fi and LCD TV. Dispite the triple room is a bit small, the beds are very confortable, the room was clean, the bathroom is big and weel equiped. We went to a meeting and the room was just to sleep there, so...

Although I was not impressed in any way by this hotel it did offer some advantages and was comfortable plus the reception was excellent. Arriving in Madrid late evening we wanted a hotel in the central area close to restaurants and clubs. No question that this hotel fits that bill perfectly. Secondly, being central it was important not to have...

This little hotel is very well located and the bedroom is nicely designed... having said that, this is like sharing the room with the street and the next bedrooms. Its very noisy and quite expensive in regards to the poor quality of the hotel. The reception looks very poor even if the stuff was friendly. will not recommend it!

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
