This was a return stay in July 2015 for me and I enjoyed it just as much as before. Excellent, modern, clean and cool rooms, perfect for hip and happening Chueca. Recently refurbished, it offers the perfect base to explore Madrid, and to have your siesta to recharge for the night ahead!

The hostel and rooms are new, clean, and modern looking. The location is very good. Walking distance to many central places. Metro stations nearby. Spaceous room but with no view. Nice cafes nearby. Casual atmosphere. Stayed there for seven nights. Would go there again.

I once lived in Madrid, and now often go back for vacation. This hostal is by far the nicest place I have found. I stayed here for a week in 2014. It's location is very central, on Calle Fuencarral just off Gran Via. Fuencarral is, since a few years, a pedastrian zone, and thus the rooms towards the street are...

We stayed 6 night this July for our summer holidays in Madrid region and Castilla La Mancha . The hostal is in a pedestrian lane a few meters far from the metro station "Gran Via". Fuencarral is a street full of nice shops , bar and restaurants near the quarter of Chueca. The room was clean, big enough for 2...

Prices are really good, the staff is a nice people taking care of all the details. The breakfast is delicious and nice people taking care of it too. The hostel location is the most perfect one. Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this place. It's worthy.

This room was clean, quiet, and very well located. Close to subway and nice area with lots of restaurants so it suited us perfectly. We travel light - one carry on each so we did not have any problems with the very small room (about 10x12 incl toilet and shower space). That might tell you how small the room was....

Excellent location on a central street, easy to find and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room itself was spacious, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. Really good value for money, wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others.

Stayed there for one night and definitely exceed my expectations. The hostel is located in the Calle Fuencarral just one minute away from the Gran Vía metro station. The room is quite big for a hostel and everything is clean and super modern. Staff very friendly. The room was even equipped with shower gels and a blow dryer. A/C and...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.

“Some of the rooms overlooking the main street can be noisy but this does not go on all night, we were there at the weekend, Saturday night was a late night but then again it is the capital of Spain so there was some noise from the street however this did not stop us from sleeping as the rooms are really comfortable.”
