Hi we only stayed as a stop over while travelling to Malaga, but there are just across the road a huge hyper market and restaurants, (which was all we needed) but we did see lots of other shops the city centre is at most a 15 minute walk, the station is due south from the city centre, so you will most likely need a taxi (just outside station), there is a good public transport (busses and trams) hope that helps
