The place is right in the center of Sassi Barisani, tucked away from the street. There's a terrace to sit and admire the sassi, and also a small backyard. Our room Terra was spacious and cozy, perfectly equiped with everything one could need. Giuseppe is a kind and warm host. Breakfast is across the street at the very nice Oi... More

The hotel in situated in the centre of the old town of Matera, so access is on foot only. The room we were allocated was on two levels. The upper bedroom level was accessed by a narrow staircase. Access to the room was up steps within the walled town. Friendly staff, but more like furnished rooms than a hotel. The... More

This place has a central location to wander enchaning historical Sassi. Our room was modern, spacious and comfortable. Ceilings were vaulted and the walls were metre thick stone. As a bonus you also got access to a couple of patios. The reception is in the restaurant across the road.. It does not feel like a normal hotel since each room... More

We stayed for four nights in the luna room. Perfect position to explore Matera. Everywhere is very easy to get to on foot. There is a lot to see so a lot of walking and steps but well worth it. Lovely living room. The shower and bathroom is good but a little small as i am 6ft 2ins. Head room... More

Couldn't be better located ! The hotel is right in the heart of Matera's Sassi. That means an incredible view, completely out of time. We had the room located in a former stone citern, very typical, though it wouldn't be ideal for a long stay.

We stayed in Matera for two nights and one night in this guest house in the room called Acqua. But we wished we stayed here for more nights. As soon as we entered the room, we were thought WOW! It had a very unusual cavelike bedroom. The interior is modern and stylish but at the same time it fits sympathetically... More

The accommodation was so modern and stylish with a rustic feel at the same time. The finishings in the room are top quality with a beautiful loft bedroom. We were pleasantly surprised at how great the accommodation was right in the centre of the Sassi Unesco area. The breakfast was perfect and the staff very pleasant and helpful to us.... More

What a cool place. First the Sassi de Matera is the neatest place to visit, then this B&B was fabulous! Excellent location, extremely comfortable lodgings, fabulous breakfast! What more do you need? Oh and EXCELLENT price!

Hi, I booked this lovely B&B through booking.com, however, I made it on the wrong date (26th Dec) -- I can only be there on 27th. The booking could be changed in terms of DATES and CUSTUM NAMES, however not possible to cancel, and the 27th is fully booked :-( SO, if you are going to Matera on 26th December,... More
