When we drove out of Naples we thought we had the worst traffic situation survived until now but the road at the coast can be challenging too. We had to look very good but after a call they guided us to the hotel. I made a reservation for a car and was glad we did. Room was very nice and...

We had a great in this B&B and in the area. The bedroom was nice and clean with sea view. Breakfast was very good and the terrace where we had our breakfast is lovely with a great view. A bit far from the town but still manageable to walk. the staff was nice and helpful. I would recommend this place.

Overall - a solid B&B on Amalfi coast. We struggled with how to approach our honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast in October. Was it worth the splurge to stay at for example Santa Caterina down the street ($500+ per night)? I think we made the right choice staying at Villa Maria Luigia for this time of year. First, the hotel...

A kind of strange place ... I don't understand all the great reviews. From the inconvenient and unfriendly start (trying to get the car into the car park, pre-paying for the room with a kind of strange story about why this is required, and getting the luggage up all those stairs) through the poor condition of the room (missing a...

To paraphrase the customer, we would say ... some kind of weird customer! Because... Firstly, on the parking lot, we do not understand what kind of problem he encountered on arrival as the gentleman came by parking your car in the garage that was completely at his disposal (given the low season to which it tends, was completely empty). Second....

We spent 3 nights at the Villa Maria Luigia during our stay at the Amalfi coast and enjoyed it. The rooms are basic but comfortable - they have everything you need. It is outside of the city which is a decent walk, but a nice change of pace to the bustling and busy in town Amalfi. The front desk staff...

I wish I could go through my 24K+ photos to share the photos from this hotel in Amalfi! Starting with the staff who were super sweet (two ladies at the front desk) they even helped us by booking us at the beach in Prianno, offered us free refreshments & were there at each step of the way! The rooms are...

Have just stayed in the Aurora Room. The two sided balcony provides beautiful views over the Mediterranean and back towards Amalfi. Whilst the room is of average size, it provides plenty of room for a couple with suitcases each and has a large bathroom. Traffic noise is kept to a minimum with double glazing. The staff are very friendly and...

We arrived in Amalfi to learn that our reservations through Hoteling.com had been cancelled without notice to us when the company went under. Maria Luigia took us in for two nights - saving our trip! We had a room with two separate sleeping areas and a great view of the water. Three communal terraces made up for the lack of...

The hotel is located in a convenient spot not too central in Amalfi but still at comfortable distance. The breakfast choice is wide and food local and tasty. You can have breakfast outside with a view on the sea. Rooms are clean and well organised. The garage is a convenient extra if you rent a car. Opposite the hotel there...

We had a lovely stay at Villa Maria Luigia: the rooms were spacious and clean, they had a lovely terrace facing the sea, a shuttle to bring you to a nearby pool with a wonderful view and a good breakfast. The hotel is close to Amalfi: approximately 10-15 minutes. Though this was not an issue for us, beware that it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Maria Luigia, belonging to the Amendola family, is the result of a careful and refined renovation of an elegant villa dating back to the 900's. The villa, with its wonderful views, is situated just over than 1km from the center of Amalfi, away from the chaotic Piazza Duomo. Its position allows you to reach the historic centre quickly but offers peace and quiet when you want to relax. And it is with the same elegance, cordiality and experience and a touch of sobriety and Mediterranean modernity that "Villa Maria Luigia" is launched as the ideal destination for those wanting to stay in Divine Amalfi and to be pampered surrounded by comfort and cordiality. Admire the unique views of the Amalfi Coast and Cilentana with the giddy sensation of being suspended between the sky and the sea. ... more   less
