Hotel Villa Lara is amazing, hands down. When my wife and I arrived in Amalfi, we came by ferry from Salerno (take the ferry, don't drive, don't take a bus, don't take a taxi, trust me on this, take the ferry). We had a general idea of where the hotel was (Amalfi basically has one main street that goes up...

Great place to stay, about 10 minutes walk to the centre but away from the crowds. Rooms were quirky and very clean. The staff were very helpful especially with booking and recommending restaurants etc. Our only issue was that the breakfast could be better as we feel it was a bit repetitive. Having said that I would definitely recommend the...

Quiet, comfortable, friendly... loved it. Not too far but not too close to Centro. Luigi the night manager is a joy. Have a prosecco at Gran Caffe overlooking the sea, eat at Il Canceletto, rent a scooter and ride up to Ravello. Highly recommended.

We have spent, my husband and I, 3 nights in this lovely hotel. The location is awesome because you are in the city centre of Amalfi, 5 mins walk from the Cathedral and the beach, but completely out of the hassle and bustle of the crowds. Beside the great location, rooms are nice and comfortable, staff is local, friendly and...

A great find, this small hotel features an incredible location perched high on a cliff overlooking the terraced landscape of charming Amalfi. The property is unique and centuries old but has all of the modern touches and conveniences. The grounds are quiet and lovely and there is an elevator that makes the meters high climb from the street to the...

Spent a week at Villa Lara and throughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a terrific location with wonderful views from the balcony where we enjoyed a great breakfast each morning. Nello and his staff made us feel really welcome and contributed to a memorable week. (Particular thanks to Luigi and the Limoncello 😜😜😜) Highly recommended👍👍

We stayed there for one night the week of October 10. Villa Lara is a great hotel with amazing staff. They were very welcoming and courteous. When we checked out, they referred us to a lady who rents boats, as we were interested in cruising the coast. They lady they recommended provided us with the best deal, by far, as...

Stayed at the Villa Lara for three nights and it was wonderful. Perched on a hill with great views from the terrace across the town towards the sea and the cliffs towering above you. The hotel is set back from the town centre sufficiently to escape the main crowds but is only a five minute walk away. The staff were...

We only spent one night at the delightful Villa Lara but wished we could have stayed longer. In retrospect, we would have based ourselves there for a few days and done day trips to Positano, Capri, Ravello etc. Luca, Monika, Luigi and the other staff were so helpful and friendly. The views from the breakfast terrace were breathtaking, both during...

Four of us (2 couples) stayed at Villa Lara. It is a hidden gem just up the way from the hustle and bustle of one of the main Amalfi strips. Luca, Nello and Luigi make you feel at home and were so friendly and kind to us! The breakfast on the terrace cannot be missed - the views are so...
