The hotel was recently redecorated and is very clean, but facilities were not updated (windows don't isolate the noise from the street, noisy airco, ...). Great location if you are not travelling by car, official) parking in Salerno is a nightmare. Simple italian breakfast: coffee, croissant, jam, juice.

The hotel staff was friendly, though strictly on a professional level. The hotel is supposed to have wifi, but it never worked in our room. We changed rooms and it still did not work. Very annoying!!! The breakfast room is bright and cosy, but the breakfast itself is quite limited, strictly Italian style. No concessions to continentals who appreciate a... More

What a nice surprise the Plaza Hotel is! I wasn't expecting such a clean, well-run hotel directly across from the train and bus station, but it is as efficient as a business hotel. The concierge was very helpful, the breakfast nice (love that you get warm milk at Italian hotel breakfast buffets!), the breakfast area clean and cheerful, and the... More

Incredibly happy with our stay, the air con was great during a very hot period, staff fantastic, rooms clean, showers working, location fantastic. Very short walk to the ferry's which go to Positano, Amalfi and sorrento and right across the road from the train station. The only con and its no biggie is the breakfast but for the price was... The hotel is directly across from the train station which is great for all travelers. The staff was accommodating. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Free WIFI and decent breakfast included. Really have no complaints.

Basic, clean and right across from the train and bus station! Staff was friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. We were able to walk or take transportation easily to sights of interest - buses ran frequently!

We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the Salerno train station and the ferry terminal to reach Positano and Amalfi. On first glance when we came out of the train station the building is quite underwhelming, but we were pleasantly surprised with the room quality. There is no shortage of shopping, bars, and restaurants very close to the... More

Salerno is a great base and a lot cheaper than the resorts of Capri, Positano or Amalfi however it provides access to all through ferries and trains. It also makes it easy to go to Pompeii. The hotel is near the train station and a 5 min walk to the sea and ferries. Its clean and efficient however I found... More

I stayed here for 1 nite only. The room was clean and comfy, being a single female traveller, felt safe and comfortable walking around. the big plus is the train station 5 min. walk and also computer free to use.
