As soon as we arrived at the impressive marble reception area we knew we would be ok! Being out of season, they kindly upgraded us to 3 sea-view balcony rooms, but the hotel is so well-positioned that the views over the bay of Naples are on 3 sides of the hotel so can be enjoyed from all the public areas anyway. The shuttle service into Sorrento works well, and means you can enjoy the best views in peaceful surroundings while being completely accessible to the town and ferries for day trips etc. even without a car. The rooms were spotlessly clean and individually decorated with touches of local ceramics. The beds large and extremely comfortable (kingsize, or two doubles in twin room), the bathroom well appointed with strong shower and toiletries. The staff were universally welcoming and efficient, from reception to restaurant, bar, and cleaning staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception had full local knowledge and were so helpful, eg obtaining a driver to the Amalfi villages for us at half-an-hour's notice, and arranging for us to be collected and driven back to two local restaurants in nearby villages. Having said that, the hotel restaurant is not to be missed - a large menu with all the local dishes one would hope for and more, beautifully cooked and presented. Even a vegan selection for our son. We ate there on the first night as we arrived at 9pm, and it was so good that we came back another night - a first for us as we usually prefer to eat out. Breakfast was delightful. We expected just the sweet Italian breakfast offering, but there was also full English and continental, everything freshly baked and changing slightly by the day. We stayed 7 nights and fell into a delightful routine of returning from day trips to a drink in the bar with its fabulous views and talented bar-tender (whose cocktails are a tik-tok sensation!) Home now, we are missing the stunning views and congeniality of the Aminta - it was a perfect stay.…

Well where do we start....we booked a 4 night break at the Grand Hotel Aminta and what a fabulous time we had.....the room had a balcony which was a bonus.......the food was so nice with a different menu every evening....the a la carte made it that extra special. The service and staff can't do enough for you they were all so pleasant and willing to help. Fresh towels everyday was lovely and the room being cleaned was nice to come back to. The pool was heated so was nice to be able to use a pool the beginning of May Well! We would definitely return....thank you to all the staff at the hotel xxx

Everything about the Grand Hotel Arminta was wonderful. The view from our balcony of the gulf of Naples was beautiful. The breakfast was very full and delicious. The dinner menu was very reasonably priced, many entrees just 15 Euros, and just great Italian cuisine. The entire property is beautifully kept and the rooms are very nicely appointed. They have a shuttle to town, that is necessary because it's way to far to walk to town center. A special thank you to the shuttle driver Catello who was always, helpful and gracious . He is a great reflection of the hotel. The only slight negative is the WIFI in the rooms is at times weak, though it works fine in the lobby area. This is a PERFECT and great place to stay in Sorrento.

We had been to stay at the hotel Aminta in April 2019 for the first time, we were so impressed by the clean, spacious and pleasant experience we decided to return! The second stay was equally as enjoyable, with the staff being very helpful and were only to happy to help with any questions. Food was exceptionally good and catered for gluten free diet perfectly. The scenery surrounding the Aminta was lovely although the road traffic was very noisy at times. Rooms were spacious and clean Will definitely look forward to returning in the future!

All the hotel staff and the mini bus driver were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The dining room and the bedrooms are a bit dated at should be reformed to the 21st century. The shower in the bath for instance and the door onto the balcony was not adequately soundproofed.

We stayed at the Amanita this week and had an enjoyable stay, the very best thing about this hotel is the staff, they were all very helpful and friendly right from the moment we checked in and a special mention to Catello the bus driver! A god send to us as the hotel is well out of the town and impossible to walk, we did get a taxi back one day and for the 5 km ride it cost us €30, The room was comfortable and clean and so was the bathroom, the only thing I would say is that it could do with an update as the fixtures and fittings were pretty dated, also my pet hate is a shower over the bath, so I wasn’t impressed with that. Our room was overlooking the bay, we also had a small balcony which would have been lovely in the summer. The rest of the hotel public areas were also in need of an update including the dining room which was stuck in the 80/90’s. The breakfast was just OK, not much choice of fruit only tinned peaches and satsumas. I can’t comment on the outside areas as the pool and jacuzzi were closed for the winter. If we went back to Sorrento in the future we would probably pick a hotel nearer the town.…

We arrived late Friday evening and checked in with Lauren who was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our room 317 was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little small and it was frustrating that you couldn’t open the window. The door to the bathroom was a bit iffy. There was no lock on the door, and the bottom of the left hand side door at the bottom was very scruffy looking. It looked like it had been damaged at some point but the repair was very shabby. The breakfast at the hotel was fabulous and they even catered for gluten free diets which was a treat for my husband. The restaurant manager and his staff were excellent and waited on us with professionalism and friendliness along with giving excellent service. All the staff at the hotel that we interacted with were professional, friendly and courteous. Thank you to all for a very enjoyable stay.…

My husband and I stayed here towards the end of our honeymoon, and we were just so impressed with everything. From the beautifully, clean CAPT rooms to the breathtaking views from the pool Jacuzzi and bar. The staff was incredibly friendly and breakfasts and dinners they were absolutely delicious. Definitely stay here if you have a chance!

Thank you for a lovely time at The Grand Hotel Aminta. Stay was from Oct 18 to Oct 27. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the level of service was at your hotel. The staff is so kind and helpful. Especially Ernesto, Giuseppe, Nello, Francisco and of course Rossella and her sister at the front. The location was fantastic. The food was great, especially the breakfast. So satisfying! The free shuttle was very helpful… and fun too! The drivers are great. We will recommend this hotel to everyone we know! Thank you again!
