Wow!! What a lovely family hotel. Greeted by the lovely daughter and instantly told I’ve been upgraded to a double room. Shown personality to my room. Offered many services from trips to breakfast and dining recommendations. Spent 3 lovely nights here. Very clean Great pillows and amazing high pressure hot showers. Great free WiFi. Their attention to detail and my needs / wants and desires was amazing. Breakfast very nice lots of choices. Thanks for the croissants to eat in my journey home. Only recommendation for future. Maybe a kettle in the room. Thanks Vics
My friend and I were put into a situation where we needed to urgently book a same day room. Hotel Savoia not only accommodated our need for a room, they didn’t charge any exorbitant fee (which we were definitely desperate enough to pay), despite it being the height of tourist season. We arrived sweat-covered, frustrated and just downright exhausted. They treated us with total respect despite the fact we looked like creatures from a lagoon. The room was spectacular - great mini bar, spotless, perfect air conditioning, great water pressure - a 5 star experience. Once we were able to collect ourselves, their staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The front desk staff at all occasions was empathetic and helpful - they helped us arrange an appointment with local authorities, translated our issues, and printed out an extreme amount of paperwork for us. It’s honestly a pleasure to stay here, and we’ll definitely be back.…
The hotel is perfectly positioned a very short walk from the centre of Sorrento. The rooms are fantastically clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The bathroom had a lovely big shower, lots of towels and more than ample soap, shower gel etc. Breakfast was a joy with a huge array of cereals, yoghurts, homemade pastries, jams and fruit from Pepes farm. All the staff were friendly and helpful and can book tickets and tours for guests. Really recommend this hotel.
We were traveling with a group exploring WWII history, following the foot steps of my Father-in Law's Tank Battalion. Sorrento is one of our favorite Italian towns, and the Hotel Savoia was a hidden gem. It is a 10 min, walk to city center, where you can sip a Campari, while watching the tourists and locals walk the Piazza.Rosa Maria at the front desk is very helpful.
I stayed here for 7nights as my base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Although my room was small it was clean and tidy with a nice warm shower and a great breakfast included. It is centrally located with a less than 10 minutes walk to Tasso Sq and easy access to the bus and train station and the ferry wharf. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.
We spent 5 nights at Hotel Savoia. The room was always clean and the staff always happy to help out. Breakfast was included in the room rate. We had pancakes and eggs on toast as well as the usual breakfast goodies. The hotel is within walking distance of Via Italia, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande. No request was too difficult to assist with by the staff. Thank you.
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as we made our way along the coast and would not recommend, or return. Our room was in another building that you share with long term residents. The bed was the same as sleeping on cardboard. Bathroom was TINY as in I could reach the toilet and sink from shower if I needed. The family animals roamed the hotel even sitting on the tables where you eat breakfast. Breakfast was the only plus and you can get that anywhere. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was accommodating at best, not friendliest.
Great: pepe and his wife were welcoming, he helped us find local beaches and helped us find our way on local bus. We were traveling with 14 families on a trip I left my jewlery at hotel, i emailed and it took over a week of calling and email but they graciously recovered it and mailed to states. I was beyond grateful Breakfast- simple, plenty to eat, what we were not used to is you have to wait for coffee, and a single lemon pancake, i was fine with that too Rooms: good enough, we did not plan to stay in rooms, AC was strong, bed was european style, we were so tired by end of our adventures i would have slept on anything Showers: small, drains back up, so can run the strong flow, i was fine with that Towels: were tired, old i was fine with that. Other members were warned not to take to beach or 10$ charge, they count towels daily. Was fine we bought the turkish wraps 5-10$ easy. Blinds: our first night we arrived late, next day was tryinb to get to patio but could not find a pully, did not realize was electric, i mistakenly pushed it up 1/4th way, to lay out clothes to dry, the blind slammed closed. We had to leave, i figured the blinds are not working, did not say much. Got back to our hotel at night, and heard back from our coach who had booked our team, wanted to know what happened. Turns out the staff had called him to come inspect our room, to show him “ we had broken the blind”. Then they told every other guest if anyone knew what had happened in our room?!!! Are you allowed to bring someone to my room while im out??? My coach stated the hotel had to bring an electrician, and they had fixed it. They never told me anything else. He asked to wait for their decision. I asked our coach again, but was told not to approach the hotel unless they ask to talk to me. After i left they emailed me they were going to charge 160$ for blind damage, and they wanted me to pay half so 80$. I was fine with that but they asked for my cc info and i gave it since i needed them to send back my ring. We check out, overall we had a great time, first time in sorrento. I was not gonna make a big deal. Sara the daughter was however rude, and hostile. It took one week of me trying daily to ask if my ring was mailed back. At end of week i had to call, because my bank had detected suspicious charges and i had still not gotten any receipt of ring getting mailed. I have no way to prove who did it, but the credit card i used had to be retired since bank was getting all kinds of charges that was not mine. Could have been other places along the way in europe. My husband who travels a lot said this happens, but thank god for our fraud detection algorithms that stopped the charges. had to email sara, again because i was worried, told her that i would review their hotel, and report them if she did not do as she had promised. She kept saying she was busy and then she would send it. At first i believed it but after the fraud alerts i lost hope. Within a few days she sent me a receipt , and dhl delivered my band i had left by my bed since we left at 3 am in a rush to catch an early flight. I was beyond grateful to the hotel, i was surprised and really have faith again that people can be honest. For that i will always remember hotel savio and pepe and his wife, their cat cleopatra and dog jollie. They are a wonderful family. Our team also ate at their restaurant Refood first night. So overall we brought a lot of business to their hotel. I emailed sara to thank her and tell her how amazing her country was She wrote back very rude, asked me not to ever contact them anymore, how they had spent time helping me with ring and were upset and they would report me because of the blind toTravelocity and their agency??! So although this end experience left a bad taste, i will write it off to miscommunication, and cultural differences in customer service. Just if something is not working in your room go to them immediately. Another family had their shower head fall off the wall, glad they did not make them pay for that, she went down immediatelyc to report it. Lesson learned! Loved italy and its people despite it all But happy to home…
This was the best place to stay in Sorrento. Starting with the owner Rosa to her daughter and the overall staff at this place. We had an issue with Expedia and our reservation and Rosa told us not to worry, gave us the key early and said they'll take care of it, and they did. Would return again and again.
