Very nice, clean, quiet hotel. Small rooms in (US Standards) but worked for 2. Only small closet with safe and small 2 drawer side table. Left our clothes in our suit cases. Bath has both bidet and toilet. Nice $7 per person per day (Euro) Breakfast, both hot and cold food. Very big selection. 15 minute brisk walk to town. Amazing customer service. I ended up very ill and they we were able to get juice, hot tea and pop from the front desk multiple times. Road noise is an issue with your balcony open. The ambulance siren is by far the loudest one I have ever heard. But cigarette smoke from other hotel visitors was the main reason we could not leave our door open more. Pool is empty and closed this time of year as well as a good portion of restaurants in town.
I stayed here for one night with the tour group. I was in room 109. The room was clean and OK. It overlooked the pool and an alley. I bought a pizza back and wanted to eat it in my room. They had a issue with that because it would attract ants. I ended up bringing it to my room and eating it and the next morning there were NO ants, thankfully. It was not a WOW experience, but what you would expect from a hotel, during off season.
My husband and I loved staying here. Close walk to shops and train. The staff was kind, our room was large, comfortable and with a great view of Sorrento. Staff provided us with a map and circled restaurants they would recommend. Very thoughtful!
We stayed here in July 2022... and we were instantly impressed by the warm greeting and excellent customer service. On the day we arrived, the temperatures were in the high 90s Fahrenheit. The front desk staff greeted us with cool glasses of lemonade. In addition, they got us into our room several hours early. When we had an issue with our room, the quickly made it right and got us a different room. The breakfast was nice - and they made an effort to get my daughter gluten-free food. The rooms are not large by American standards but we found that to be the case with many hotels in Italy. The pool is nice. The location is along a busy main street - which is convenient but can be a bit noisy. It is a bit of a walk but within walking distance to the train station. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The view from the top of the hotel was nice.…
Very friendly staff. We were greeted with a glass of lemonade when we arrived. Nice room, everywhere very clean and comfortable. Lot of noise from the road, but we got used to it. Good location, 15 mins walk to town but several good restaurants and bars nearby along the road. Good choice at breakfast, all good and again the staff very friendly and efficient. Lovely pool too. Would recommend this hotel, thank you to the staff for a lovely stay.
Stayed in this hotel for a week, very nice hotel. Very clean, very friendly staff. Good location although it is on a busy road. Clean pool and bathing area. Rooms are spotless and kept clean daily. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety. All in all,a lovely stay.
Our first time in Sorrento, we chose the hotel due to size as we like a Smaller more personal feel. On check in the clerk noticed it was my wife/twin sisters 50th birthday, immediately the owner was introduced to us she also came out with a beautiful lemon cake along with candles and a lovely bottles of fizz! All I can say all. The staff are so friendly and genuinely want your stay to be the best experience possible.
Visited the Gardenia for the second time , having been here before about 8 years ago when travelling around italy with our children. My parents had visited before and highly recommended it too. This time it was just me and my wife staying. The hotel was great. Clean, quiet and relaxed which is just what we wanted. Staff are great, friendy and helpful. The pool area is lovely , never too busy and a lovely place to relax with views over the bay of Naples. Breakfast is of good quality with plenty choice. Snack bar ,by the pool, which we used was also very good and reasonably priced. All in all the Gardenia is a lovely place to stay. A little gem to be discovered if staying in Sorrento.
We had a fab 12 day holiday here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed as a family of four with 2 kids in bunk beds. We had a room on the second floor facing the street but heard no noise at all when windows were closed. Breakfast was great and varied and the highlight for us was the pool and the fab guys serving at the poolside bar and restaurant run by the Hotel next door. We were made to feel very welcome
Excellent hotel with just a 15min walk to the main centre. Rooms very clean with a mini fridge. Had a balcony which was lovely. We had a family room located at the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor and could hardly hear any noise from the road outside so the glass doors are very good. Breakfast was great with lots of choice like pancakes, cereal, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and plenty more. Pool was the highlight, spent 4 days by the pool and it was so relaxing and clean. They have a bar there where you can get drinks and food too. Would definitely stay here again.
