My husband and I just returned from a nine night stay at the Antiche Mura, choosing this hotel based on location, price and reviews from trip advisor. Since we did not have the use of a car in Sorrento and were dependent on public transportation (why would anyone drive in this region?), this hotel is perfectly located for connections to... More

The hotel is very attractive from the outside, particularly the ruins in the valley just below the hotel. The staff was good, the location fantastic, and the food really nice - especially the outside courtyard where breakfast is served. My biggest problem is that the room I received had a mirror where the window should have been installed - a... More

Location. Location. Location. Add in high quality rooms and facilities with a beautiful setting of lemon/orange grove courtyard. Then to top it off add impeccable service from the staff. That adds up to THE place to stay. Our stay was mid March 2012. We first considered hotels just out of town up in the hills for the view but decided... More

I stayed at the Antiche Mura hotel last weekend for 2 nights (paid a fair 93 euros per night). The room was beautiful and very clean with a brightly tiled floor, and a lovely french balcony with a neat electrically controllable window shade. The bathroom was huge compared to our other hotels in Italy with the most wonderful shower ever!... More

The Antiche Mura is a perfect base for exploring Sorrento, Pompeii, Heracleum, Naples, the Amalphi coast and Capri. It is 5 minutes walk from the train and bus stations and 7 from the port and it's in the middle of the town with all the shops and restaurants on your doorstep. The reception and restaurant staff are attentive and helpful.... More

My husband and I took a trip to Italy in September 2010 and this area (Amalfi Coast) and this hotel were a highlight. The service is impeccable, from the reception upon our arrival to the breakfast staff, pool bar and evening staff. Our room was probably the best in the whole hotel, room 602, in a wing poolside but separated... More

We stayed here for two nights after our wedding. A complimentary bottle of proscecco was in the room on arrival, which was a welcome addition to our stay. The hotel is centrally placed in Sorrento- only a very short walk to Piazza Tasso. It is a beautiful hotel over looking the gorge. The swimming pool area is delightful; surrounded by orange and... More

Having experience of many 5* hotels the 4* Antiche Mura compared very favourably. The staff were attentive, competent and efficient but remained relaxed in approach which created a positive holiday experience. The reception & bar staff in particular were knowledgeable and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were comfortable, clean & well serviced and the central position of the... More

This is a fantastic hotel! The location is excellent, about 5 minutes walk from the train station and maybe 2 minutes from the town square. It's right next to the Deep Valley of the Mills, which is a stunning sight in its own right. The lobby is very elegant and the staff at reception are very friendly and happy to... More
