Booked this in order to get to airport early. It had great reviews but looked rather scary when taxi driver finally found it. However we were delighted with it. Family run, they welcomed us, explained facilities, guided us to Alfredos round the corner for pizza and arranged a taxi for the next morning. LOvely small communal dining room and self... More

Portanova BnB is an excellent BnB with very clean and spacious rooms. We loved the location as it is very close to the historical centre 5 mins walk, and also to Corso Umberto with 10 mins walk to the Metro. Our room was spotless with a big bed, lots of room and good bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing, cereal and shrink... More

I was shocked when I finally found this place. I could not believe i have booked something in a slum like alley. In a horrible building. Yes, room was very spacious and that's about it. Everything else was just acceptable: falling apart bed, bathroom, broken window, tacky-old decoration, etc. Staff: a man and a woman that didnt even bother to... More

Dear Customer, historic cities like Naples, Palermo, Rome and other cities iltaliane, have the old town with very narrow streets and buildings behind. the building dates back to the first 800 renovated over the years, regardless of who lives in this building honest and humble people. I invite you to review photos or back at our hotel, because what you... More

I stayed six nights at the Portanova B&B and absolutely loved it. The room we stayed in (standard double room) was large, comfortable and very clean. The staff was also nice and helpful (they even gave us complementary umbrellas when it was raining outside) and the hotel is located in the center of the old town which means that most... More

This place is located in some back alley which is a little disconcerting (and hard to find). We arrived and happened to bump into one of the owners who let us in, no one around in the main lobby otherwise - which was a little strange. Having booked on Expedia, we didn't realise that we hadn't paid already, and so... More

Rooms are large, clean and well kept and the staff was very friendly. None of them speak very good english but they try and are nice and pleasant people and made our stay there very comfortable.. I am not a fan of the neighborhood, although the area has many nice eating places like the famous pizza place, Cafe Triannon and... More

Rooms in a large, recently renovated flat owned and operated by the pleasant and accommodating D'Angelo family. High level of comfort and hospitality, good for families; we stayed in a large, attractive, split-level room with queen/king beds upstairs and downstairs; we were free to use the tiny common kitchen, which is helpful for afternoon snacks etc. (though not suited for... The Portanova B&B is located in the Centro Storico part of the city tucked behind the main intersection of Via Duomo and Corso Umberto.  The buildings around are slowly being refurbished but it is not the prettiest part of town, but the B&B itself is great.  Big room by Italian standards, and modern bathroom fittings. It has been opened 2... More
