We had a quiet room (2nd floor) with a sea view - it was comfortable and clean, not enormous but had its own balcony. The staff were always friendly, and keen to help. The most stunning feature about this hotel though is its roof terrace and the views from its main dining-room. They are wonderful. On clear days you can...

This BW hotel is far from the maddening Naepolitan traffica and offers a spectacular view of the gulf & Vesuvius. Best rooms facing the sea are on the 4th floor. Classic/elegant non thrill hotel, rooms not big but confortable and most have balconies facing the sea. Bathrooms tiny. Clean, amenities so so, brakfast poor in variety: mosty delicious mini sfogliatelle...

My husband and I booked a room overlooking the Bay of Naples which was a fabulous view. Unfortunately our room was directly below the dining room so it was quite noisy, especially on Monday night. I was fast asleep when I was wakened by very loud, live music at around 10.45. It felt like the singer was in the room....

We are a family of five so we booked a sea view room for us and a slightly cheaper rear room for the kids. Our room is fine, there room smells of drains. The hotel solution was perfume. Dining room and evening drinks has a spectacular view. A bit of a walk especially when the funicular closes at 10pm but...

Don't miss the breakfast served on the rooftop, worth it for the view of Vesuvius. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bellman and concierge are always ready to help. Be prepared to take a wild taxi ride up and down the hill.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
BEST WESTERN Hotel Paradiso, situated on Posillipo Hill, enjoys a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples, with Vesuvius as a backdrop.Within just 2,500 metres may be found: the San Paolo Stadium, the Mostra D’oltremare exhibition centre, the University of Federico II di Monte Sant’Angelo, the railway station and the Campi Flegrei subway stop. From many rooms, and certainly from our “Terrazza Paradiso" restaurant, following the line of the coast you see Castel dell'Ovo, built around the year 1000 on a small island of tufaceous rock named Megaris. This is where - legend has it - the siren Parthenope, enchanted by the beauty of the surroundings, constructed the city of Naples. Descending the hill, in a few minutes one arrives at the marina of Mergellina and, 200 metres after that, at the subway station. From here there is a good connection to the old city centre and to the central station, from where it is possible, in around 20 minutes, to reach the sites of Ercolano and Pompei. Also on Posillipo Hill, around 2 km from the hotel, and at the end of the incredibly scenic Via Petrarca, is Virgiliano Park with its green areas and wide terraces that look out onto a sheer view of the Marechiaro Sea, and with a clear view of the little island of Nisida. This is a sight of rare beauty for those who love walking or jogging far away from traffic. The rooms, the meeting rooms, and the scenic restaurant with its Mediterranean cuisine and the warm welcome of its staff, all act as guarantees of a pleasant holiday or business trip. ... more   less
