Overall, the B&B Cappellini was a fine place to stay on a budget. The manager was very nice. The breakfast is made up of bread, packaged croissants, and tea. The room had enough room for me and my two friends, and the room was cute. A lot of people complain about the area in the reviews, but you just need...

The Bed & Breakfast itself is average. The level of cleanliness and the breakfast offered were again perfectly average. The owner's decor is amusing and you can tell he has tried to make the place more comfortable for his guests, he was very hospitable and nice. This B&B does not exceed expectations but is suitable enough for a short stay...

Hotel is located in the middle of poor black neighborhood. To go there you have to walk throug a lot of homelesses sitting on the ground, and they are sitting there in front of the hotel whole day. Everything is stinking of piss, there is garbage everywhere on the ground. The neughborhood seems really dangerous. Defenitly not recommended during the...

It was so bad that we simply decided to book another hotel after the first night. First of all, the area around is very dangerous at night, and we were more than once told not to have any valuable objects with us if we want to be safe. Furthermore, we were charged an extra 20 euro simply because our flight...

I'm volunteering my way around Europe right now and I have to say I've seen things. Staying here was the best decision ever! The detail and cleanliness were amazing after staying at hostels and strangers houses it was a refreshing start to wake up to the fact breakfast was just outside of my room. It was included too! I loved...

Pros: Proximity to Termini Station with transport connections to everywhere in Rome and all city airports by transfer bus. Very kind staff, comfortable and good value for money rooms. Late check-in with previous advice. Plenty of restaurants and food places nearby. Cons: The neighborhood has lack of character due to heavy immigrants presence like chinese, bangladeshi and africans with their...

Value for money and excellent attention by Pasquale!! It's also close to Termini Station, nice and completed breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. This area can seem unsafe at night, but i had no problem.

Very close (200m) from Termini station, in a slightly run-down neighborhood. The door is not easy to locate. Pascuale will let you in, and then a few steps up to an old lift that takes you to the 2nd floor, and opens on the other side. Its a bit confusing but you will get used to it. The B&B is...

I've stayed in many of the hotels that crowd themselves around Terminii station but this is more a homely, friendly B & B than a hotel as it says. It's not that hard to find if you follow the road down the western side of Terminii station until it starts to go downhill and there's a road tunnel under the...

Excellent stay at B&B Cappellini. Don't be taken aback by the location which may seem a little unsafe (although very close to Termini Station) as when you enter the B&B you will feel right at home! A really sweet place and a very friendly and knowledgeable owner, ready to help your every need. The room was great, I didn't even...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
