The service was excellent. The B&B owner was helpful and a very nice person. Few highlights that make a difference when traveling: wifi was amazing in the room, always worked and always connected. Coffee and bread breakfast right outside your door every morning. The air conditioner worked amazing! In the 95 degree weather. REFRIGERATOR! Saved a good amount of money...

This establishment is very cosy ,clean and comfortable. It is no looker but at 75 euros a night, we found this B&B to be of extremely good value. Our host was incredibly helpful - he was ready to ask if there was anything we needed the moment we stepped out of our room. He had very intimate local knowledge and...

It's Chinese owned B&B - small, pretty clean apartment with private bathroom in our room. Very convenient location next to Termini station if you would like to get early flight using train from Termini to Fiumicino airport. But I'm not sure about safety at night (heard yelling and running outside around 11 PM - 12 AM). Staff (from Beijing) was...

My wife and myself stayed at the Capellini for 2 night during the beatification of John Paul II. Even though the street and the entrance to the building where the B&B is situated do indeed look rather dirty, the B&B itself is well kept and clean. The front dest clerk, Pasquale, is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the hints...

The B&B is on a horrible street in a horrible area and has a horrible entry. That said, the hosts were friendly and we did have a double room with bathroom for only £60; amazing for a last minute booking in Rome. The basic amenities were clean (shower tray and basin) but the bathroom tiles and general feeling of the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
