Whenever you see black dots on sheet, be sure that there are bed bugs. First, I was dreaming that it was something else but I got plenty of bites. The second place in Rome with bed bugs. I've read that they are even in 4 star hotels...

I booked a single room (last one it said) via hotels.com the day before arrival. Upon getting there, the receptionist told me he did not have my booking info. I showed him the confirmation email I got. After looking through his stuff, checking in another guest, and looking through his stuff a bit more, he finally showed me two pieces...

Here best was the staff, the view from the balcony and thebreakfast in the Agora restaurant, everything else was normal except the air conditioner didnt work, was cold at night and we can hear too much noise in the hall and rooms, for this i think i paid too much, 53,50 for 1 night private room.

The staff is great as well as the room. Close to Roma termini where you can get a train to italian cities or the metro to visit the city. Breakfast is pretty good served in a restaurant close to the hotel. At night however the heater didn't work very good and there was a lot of noise on the corridors.

By all means, avoid the so-called "B&B" place. The problems faced were: 1. Constant Absence of Receptionist: The person supposed to be at reception was away most of the time (i.e. 2 days duration!!!!). To make matters worse, when we tried his cell, we found that he had left the cell at reception itself to avoid calls 2. Heater not...

Family of four's first few nights in Italy. Emil was very friendly & accommodating & we had all we needed for a pleasant stay. His suggestion to have dinner at 'Andrea' around the corner turned out to be our best meal so far (just make sure u have cash!). Best accommodation a stone's throw from Termini.

Just stayed in this B&B for a five day vacation with four girlfriends, with one double bed, one single bed, a bunk bed and a private bathroom. The overall experience was great. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the rooms were amazing for the price. Our room was very clean along with a spotless bathroom. Loved that it had AC...

I have known WIRA owners in passing since the get go. Now I am staying in their place at the moment having left Rome for Lviv and Krakow in December. The rooms are great and the guy who manages the place, Emy, works f hard to ensure that guests have what they need. Reception music 24/7 is a bit annoying...

This is a great little spot to stay right by the train station and metros. The host Emy is fantastic and very helpful. The rooms were great, clean and had a balcony. There is laundry and great restaurants just around the corner. Although the included breakfast is simply it is very good. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I have just arrived home from a 4 day trip to Rome with friends after staying at When in Rome. We booked a Quadruple room, which upon arrival consisted of a double bed and a bunk bed. I opted to sleep on the top bunk of the bed, but soon discovered I could not. I am only a 5"9 male...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
