I booked the apartment through an external company and after reading reviews was a little worried. These worries were definitely unwarranted. The apartment was a 5 minute walk from the coloseum, and was clean and had good amenities. We arrived out of hours and after emailing found an out of hours fee of €30 (€50 if after midnight). A tip...

I stayed here for a couple of weeks on business and appreciated the kitchen facilities, free wifi, and washing machine. The apt. is a big high ceilinged room with a bedroom retrofitted into it, up steep steps. (No good for anyone with mobility limitations.) the furnishings are spare but cheerful - IKEA type. Kitchenware the same - mismatched but adequate....

The $250 a night hotel room has a view of the Collesium, along with the noise and the hordes of tourists. The check in office is more than a block from the 'hotel,' and if you expect help, with your bags, forget it! If you want service, you have to use your own phone to call the desk, or walk back...

Other reviewers have mentioned how great the location is but I will say it again. I did not know I could be so close the the center of Rome for such a good price. Receptionist not only checked us in but also explained what's nice to see in Rome and how to do the metro. The room was clean and...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights from the 21st to 24th. I personally loved the building as it's old with a lot of character, but my husband had a totally different description. He found it spooky and there was no lift, he had to lift our super heavy bags up two floors. The room was large, had...

Staff very friendly, receptionist not only checked us in but also explained what's nice to see in Rome and throughoughly went through a map explaining. The room was modern, nice and clean, nice sheets and comfy beds. Wifi was very quick and the toilets were also of a higher standard. Location was perfect, near quite a few restaurants and bars...

Within a few minutes walk of the Colosseum this is a great place to stay for convenience. Look out for a restaurant called Luzzi nearby too for great value for money. Cooking facilities are basic but we ate out all the time as ...well ...we were in Rome, so who wants to cook! also the owner of these appartments is...

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Maximus during our 7 day stay in Rome. We were there all but one night when we traveled to Florence. The first thing non-European travellers should note is that this is not a Hotel, or B&B in a traditional sense. It is literally a cluster of condo units within a residential building....

We had a very strange experience with Residenza Maximus. First night when we back from dinner around 21:30 could not open the building's door because the lock was broken. No staff inside normally at night time. I called reception man but he can't speak a word in English. He understood something wrong, but any way he did not deign to...
