I stayed there for three nights a week ago and had a great time. The b&b is small, and it's located on the second floor of an old building. It's true that the elevator is out of order/unavailable, but it's only a couple of stairs, and the staff will help you with the bags, if you are carrying many. The...

This hotel is as good as what my friend has recommended it to be. Value for money, comfortable, clean, conveniently situated with the nearby metro line and wide range of cafe and restuarants to choose from. Will definately stay here again if there is a chance.

Our stay in this hotel was perfect. The location is great, just two steps from the tube stop Barberini, 5 minutes walking from the Trevi Fountain and 10 minutes from the Villa Borghese. Georgio was so nice and welcomed us late on friday evening, he gave us a map of the city with some added informations on it. The room...

My mother and I stayed at La Piccola Maison for 3 nights. The location is really fantastic - almost everywhere we wanted to see was within walking distance. The train is across the street which we took to the Vatican and Ancient City. Giorgia (owner) was truly lovely - she provided a map upon arrival, circled the main sites and...

The hotel is in a great location and makes a good base for walking to lots of sights. There is nothing apart from bedrooms so you have to organise own breakfast etc but that suited us fine. There are plenty of places nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good value for the location.

I felt right at home staying here. Giorgia and Laura were very welcoming and helpful. They even gave me directions on how to get places and recommended places to eat. The room has really nice modern furnishings and the location is perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to come back! Thank you!

First I must say, that I truly fell in love with Rome. Secondly, I would never stay anywhere but La Piccola Maison. Simply put, there is no reason to. This is the absolute perfect location, safe, charming, modern rooms, outstanding service by a wonderful, warm and professional host. It truly feels like home here and like you are living right...

Whenever I'm looking for a hotel my first resource is hotels.ca and after I find an acceptable rate I head straight over to tripadvisor to see what the ratings and reviews were. Unfortunately I've been disappointed before when I found that the room didn't match the reviews but this was not one of those times. La Piccola Maison was a...

To be clear, this is not a standard hotel. Guests stay in apartments in a building in a PERFECT location in Rome. The proprietor/manager is not there all the time, although he is available by phone and e-mail, if you need to get in touch. But obviously that's not ideal if you have a last-minute question. Other than that, this...

We wanted to find a small apartment with basic concierge type service in Rome anf La Piccola Maison was perfect. Not fancy, but new, spotless and quiet and in a FANTASTIC location for exploring Rome! Giorgio came through in every way, with his driver who was waiting at the airport on Dec 26th morning, answering questions when there and following...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
