Relais was a brilliant experience for us. I used to live in Trastevere, and I therefore wanted to stay in an accommodation close to the area I used to live in. Relais was definitely the best option in the area, and we had such a good time. I recommend getting a room with a balcony - it's perfect for a...

Great location and walking distance to the most city views. Tram 8, and 2 line bus for piazza venezzia and Roma Termini, just outside from the accommodation. Nice, clean room and bathroom and excellent staff - Francisco. Absolutely value for money. We' ll come back.

Pros: Great location, easy 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. Accommodation secure and although situated on a busy road, sleep was not an issue. Breakfast is basic yet plentiful. Walk 3 minutes to Piazza di San Cosimato, find a little local and enjoy the local community that frequents this Piazza. I loved the local feel of this area. Views from...

This hotel has a great location. Walking distance to all you need in Rome. Super friendly staff who helped us with everything we needed. Even tho our room faced the Main Street, there was hardly no noise when the doors to the balcony was closed. We will return the next time we go to Rome.

I have just returned from very happily staying here with my daughter and granddaughter. We found a clean, spacious room with a small balcony and Francesco could not have been more helpful. The bathroom was good and had a good-sized shower. The lift is a bit small but very pleased to have it as the Relais is on the 6th...

Very nice, neat and friendly hotel. The location is very good. Trastevere is a very nice old town and the hotel is very close to the centre. Price vs quality is good. Inside of the hotel is new and clean. The breakfast is poor but i guess this is what you can find anywhere. Must try,

We came in October and had a great time here. Upon arrival it wasn't very clear where the hotel was as it was in a mixed use apartment block but once we found it we had a very warm welcome from Dennis! He was great and helped us with where to visit and couldn't do more for you. We were...

Great location within easy walking distance to all attractions. Francesco was very welcoming and helpful with our late check in, he spent time explaining the area and attractions marking them out on a map (made our stay so much easier). We had room number 1 ,I was a bit worried with it being so near to the entrance with the...

Location was fantastic for our purposes. We are familiar with the area and because we were there for a school visit it was exactly what we wanted. Close to places we like to eat as well as a terrific bar. Our unit also had a small terrace which is the main reason I chose this place. The weather was lovely...

If you are waiting for a hotel you will be disappointed. There is not a 24 hours reception, just in the morning. You receive your room and building dor keys. Is necessary take breakfast items and eat in the room. The room is very clean and spacious. All furniture are news and moderns. With 15/20 minutes walk you can find...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
