This is a great little hotel. I wouldn't call it a suite. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds are large and comfortable. Private baths are in every room. The staff was very helpful, giving us advice, directions, etc. All hotel staff spoke English. They arrange an airport shuttle (50 euro for four). I wish we had known coming...

Excellent location, close to old Rome. Staff very friendly and rooms spotlessly clean. Great stay, highly recommended.Walking distance from Colosseum, Vatican. Nice little coffee shops, restaurants and pizzerias around.

This hotel is located within walking distance to most major attractions and close to public transportation. If you enjoy evening cafes there are plenty to choose from. The hotel staff is friendly and pur room was cozy. Big bonus, our room had a fridge!

We loved this place! It was right around the corner to a taxi stand, right across the street from the walking area of Trastevere. We could not have asked for a better location! It was close to Santa Maria of Trastevere, where we attended Easter Mass, and lots of restaurants and coffee bars. The room was light filled, with a...

Sonnino Suite does not serve breakfast even though it is classed as a B&B. However it is situated on the Main Street of beautiful Trastevere and there are cafes nearby for a traditional breakfast of coffee and perhaps croissant or we found an American cafe in a small street nearby that served a full cooked breakfast if you want one....

I am not a tripadvisor buff and very rarely leave feedback, but on this occasion I thought I would. This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel for a trip to the rugby. I have to say this is a fantastic hotel, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The lack of food at the hotel does not ruin...

I love the Trastevere neighbourhood so I stayed in Sonnino hotel. Great price and very friendly staff as well who was very helpful in arranging an airport service at 3am. Has free wifi and elevator so you don't have to drag your suitcase down the steps.

I stayed here in September, great location if you want to be in Trastevere, and the room was spacious and clean. Customer service was appalling however, our key for the front door broke in the lock on our first night, and the receptionist couldnt have cared less. He advised us there was a number to call but had failed to...

Nice budget hotel for a city break in bustling Trastevere. The room was pretty big and clean. The wireless worked great. Many bars and restaurants right next door. Perfect location within walking distance to most of the historical sites. The elevator is very small, but works fine. Great place to rest and take a shower after exploring all the wonders...

Very welcoming and easy to access. This is a very cool little hotel inside an old mixed-use building in the heart of Trastevere. Easy walk to so many sights. The room we had was quiet and well-equipped.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
