My friend and I stayed here for two nights. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, but the lockers were outside the room, and no blankets were provided. I slept under my coat the whole time. Would not go back.

Stayed here with a group of friends, toilet flooded when you got shower and drain flooded and made room smelly. Made floor very slippy. On a positive note staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not worth getting up for.

The building is old, so is the interior areas. The room had almost no circulation space and just one small locker inside, just on the last day, we realized there were more lockers outside. The bathroom was inside the room and not the cleanest. Staff was nice, and the breakfast was included. Can be a two-night stay with no further...

I booked this hostel with a group of 10 friends in Rome as it was in the central area and had great prices! The rooms were ok and adequate for the purpose with locking doors and ensuite bathrooms, although they could have been cleaner they were still perfectly acceptable. The check in desk was 24hrs and the people on the...

The room in an all female dorm was okay, great location easy access to the metro and walking distance to the colosseum. The rooms were maintained and kept well but bathroom could use an upgrade. Breakfast buffet was also very good. For the price, it is really good.

Not the best but not the worst I've stayed in. It's quite and the rooms are super cosy so if you don't mind walking over the top of people stuff all the time it's okay. There's no real common room just a small kitchen area and the free pasta nights they offer Tuesday's and Thursday didn't happen :-(

I booked a private room which was located separate from the main office(not an issue). The hostel is located in an area within walking distance to the colosseum and a couple of other attractions. When we first arrived in the apartment we were staying in, we easily thought it was going to be the best hostel we booked. We have...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
