we stayed in the apartments of the hotel two blocks away which were great. Fully equipped, comfortable and very clean. Great quiet air-con and the staff were fantastic, especially the porter. The breakfast was amazing from eggs to pastries, we have never seen such a choice. They looked after our bags, nothing was too much trouble. Great position to as...

We were here for just under a week. From FCO (Rome's Int. airport) either pre-book a taxi to the hotel (the hotel can set this up) or take the train to Termini station and it is about a 8-10 minute walk from there. The staff was very helpful and the apartments are situated about 6-8 minutes walk away. The elevator...

Stayed here for 4 nights. On checking in I was told that my apartment was not in the same building and was some 500 meters away. When I asked why the angry man at the desk told me that it was because I had booked via Agoda and they didn't like that and preferred bookings via their own Website. Once...

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Went out of their way with directions, etc. Close to the Metro. No complaints -- we enjoyed our stay. 3 couples stayed at the hotel and I stayed at the apts -- very short walk from the hotel. Which was excellent -- Cludia wa verys helpful. really good place to eat by the...

We were here during Easter week so the rate was probably higher than average. The apartment was roomy with a small living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Our apartment was on the 7th (top) floor of an old building and had a large balcony. There wasn't much of a view, but it was pleasant to sit out there. Although...

The elevator was either not present or not operational (we looked up the shaft and did not see an elevator, when never came when pressing the button). Fortunately we didn't have to go too far with our luggage. Internet was fast and cheap at 3 Euro per day, using an ethernet cord. The rooms are small, but for the second...

We liked the roominess of this apartment, it was very close to the metro so that made it easy to get to most things. The breakfast at the hotel was great, and we had free wifi in our room. We were able to wash our clothes using the washer and dry them on the roomy outside balcony. The bad thing...

The apartment, though located a distance from the Crosti Hotel itself, was fabulous for the three of us. The bedroom was huge, and storage for all of our things was ample. It was also pristine in regards to cleanliness. A wonderful heated towel rack is in the bathroom, the terrace we had to ourselves was a lovely plus. We sat...

Great apartment 5 minutes from Termini. These apartments are on the 5th 6th and 7th floors of a building in the centre of Rome. Ideal location for getting around Rome. 2 mins from metro line B Castro Pretorio station. The metro is cheap and easy to use once you know how. Tickets are £1 per 75 minutes or £4 for...

area was very quiet, and whilst the lift is small (and broke down once!), we felt safe and secure. There was an internet cafe on the corner and the local supermarkets provided everything we could want in terms of food and drink. It was an added bonus to be able to wash clothes before we moved on to our next...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“We chose the apartments (vs hotel room). It is a couple of block walk from the hotel where breakfast was served each day. But it was a pleasant walk through a nice/safe neighborhood. There was an elevator, we often took the stairs. We will stay here again.”
