We are normally not complaining, but this was the biggest Scam we ever experienced, we booked 24sqm (m2) Superior Room and get an 8sqm Room in an old run-down Hotel across the Street. They did the same with more than 30 other Guests. And the incredible is, that they are still selling rooms on their own platform and on booking & Agoda for the same day for a higher rate. We asked for a refund and they even declined this! Don't do business with these people, the run-down Hotel belongs to the same company so it seems to be a cheap trick to fill up this 3 Star Hotel that is offered online for 65$!
The view of the rooftop is beautiful, rooms are clean but food at breakfast was very poor quality & not very fresh! Staff are friendly, location is good and coffee is good! Did I mention the rooftop view? :)
Rooms were lovely however shower is in the bath and broken and the breakfast served was very poor and a complete mess! Orange juice from concentrate, no pastries and poor selection of fruit. Additionally the terrace bar waiters were very rude and charged significantly more than the menus for drinks (when challenged they advised the prices were ‘not up to date’).
The hotel itself is very nice, large rooms and comfortable beds with good air conditioning systems and sound proof. The location is ok, there are definitely similar hotels at similar price points in better locations. The hotels biggest downfall is the staff. We checked in and we’re provided a key to an occupied room which caused an uncomfortable encounter, the staff member wasn’t really that apologetic and of the opinion that he never made such mistakes, the guests in the room called down when we were explaining the issue and he told them he would call them back, as they were the ones intruded on they should have been prioritised over us. The next morning we went to breakfast, we were aggressively told by the waitress it wasn’t included despite being told on check in that it was. We went down to reception and advised them that the previous day we were told it was included and we were advised that we would have to pay €15pp if we wanted to avail of it, it was not worth €15, there are many places nearby with far superior breakfasts for a fraction of the cost. On our last day we had some drinks on the rooftop bar, we were the only people there and when we asked for the bill the waiter left us waiting at the bar to return to ask us for our room number. We explained that we had checked out and were due to depart for the airport and we could not charge it to the room, he insisted that we did as it would take 30mins for him to accept payment for us. We agreed to pay at reception. When we went to pay, the staff member at the desk was not happy about it and was quite rude, we explained that this was at the insistence of the waiter, he then picked up the phone and had an argument with the bar staff. He then agreed to take the payment in a very reluctant way, and when we produced a credit card he sighed and asked did we not have cash, which we did not and he processed the card payment. While we were waiting on our transport a guest made a call and the same man spoke very passive aggressively to them, and when he hung up proceeded to have a very loud rant in Italian making for a very uncomfortable wait. It’s a shame that we had such a bad experience as the hotel and facilities are really nice, the staff just let it down.…
Rooms are really good size, a/c works perfect. Curtains are perfect if you like a complete dark room and wake up a little after the sunshine. Shower the low point of the room. Division is really small water easily drop on the outside of the tub, couple of towels on the floor and problem solved.
