I was in Rome for the weekend with my boyfriend and had previously booked online a room at the Capitolium hotel, but just 2 days before checking in, I received an email from the hotel telling me that there has been a problem with my room and they moved me to another hotel: the Esedra Inn. Well I phoned the...

We recently stayed at Esedra Inn during our tour of Italy and what a wonderful experience we had! A very friendly and helpful English speaking staff made our stay easy and very welcoming. We treated ourselves to one of their suites and the jacuzzi was an added bonus - and all for a very afforadable price! Great convenient location as...

Ive visited a lot of European Cities and know that if you want a hotel in a central location without spending an extortionate amount on a room at best you can expect is a clean and safe hotel. We went to Rome for our honeymoon so I asked a friend who works in Rome to recommend a hotel. Esedra Inn...

Esedra is a great little hotel and the manager Giorgio and his staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were spot on and the shower was lovely. Only slight issue was that the safe in the room had been locked by the previous guests but we ended up not asking Giorgio to try and access it as we didn't feel that our...

The Esedra inn is a beautiful hotel, from the set out of the room (we had a suite) to the charming if slightly scary elevator - claustrophopics beware! The location was very convenient with the Termini station 5 minutes walk away, metro and buses in the street. There were only two downsides to the hotel, the breakfast which was prepackaged...

My husband and I booked a room at the Esedra Inn. We didn't know what to expect since it was described by others as both a hotel and a B&B. We were pleasantly surprised, so much so, that we booked an additional four nights. We booked a suite which was spacious with nice modern bathroom facilities. The property is kept...

Hard to find as the hotel is on the 5th floor of a building that also houses businesses. No issues with security. Hotel entrance is behind locked door which is behind locked gate downstairs and another locked entrance from the street. Air Con didn't work very well so we had to open window. Small room but clean. Staff member Monica...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
