HIP Suites is the perfect place to stay in Trastevere! The rooms are modern, clean and very, very comfortable, and the location is convenient to all of the sights in Rome. Tomaso and Gian Luca were both so very helpful in welcoming us, making arrangements, and recommendations during our time in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at HIP Suites...

Great place for everybody, who would like to stay in nice apartment in the typical Italian Palazzo instead of the hotel in the lively Trastevere in Rome. The reception very nice and helpful. Great think is that you can use the laptop and internet in your room for free - you don't need to have your own computer!

The location is great, right on the spot in Trastevere. Loads of restaurants nearby, and Tomaso and the other friendly and efficient staff members can make good recommendations. The "suite" with a round bed was as small as they get, hardly can fit in a suitcase. Very modern and clean, even comes with a en-suite laptop. Only real minus was...

The room was small but perfect for 3 persons anyway. One doble bed and one extra bed. Very modern och trendy. Free wifi and laptop in the room. TV and hairdryer. The breakfast could be better (probably couse I love big breakfasts) - but it was included! Coffee, juice and one croissant at the nerby café. Nice staff. Mini bar....

We had a great time in Rome, Tomaso and Luca both helped make our stay memorable with all the right recommendations for eating out whether it was just pizza or traditional roman cuisine; on the day we decided we wanted to fit in a day trip to the Amalfi Coast nothing was too much effort helping us get our heads...

We have just returned from a three day stay in Hip Suites and would certainly recommend this accommodation to others who want to visit Rome independently. Thomaso welcomed us warmly to Hip Suites; he was incredibly helpful, informative, friendly and thoroughly professional. We followed some of his tips for restaurants and ways to see Rome all of which were excellent....

Having been to Rome a number of times I decided it was time to return. Previously I have stayed in the historic centre by the Forum. I always found myself gravitating towards Trastevere so decided this would be my location for the weekend. Hip Suites proved the perfect accommodation for a relaxed weekend in the heart of this buzzing part...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
