Stayed in a few B&Bs, most of them very good. Bit strange this one as upon arrival (9.30 at night) we were unable to immediately see the entrance or signs for the B&B so were, for a few minutes wondering what we had booked. Nothing to worry about though, the owners' son met us outside and politely showed us to...

Excellent location, great people. We stayed for three nights, owners Marco & Lina are super nice, breakfast was perfect, clean room and bathroom. We had a very good experience. The B&B is located very close to the Vatican, metro and buses are on the same street.

I was travelling across Europe and Rome was my mid-stop. Therefore, I already experienced a few hostels/hotels prior to my arrival at Gauis Roma. This was my only B&B experience, and I must say I enjoyed the hospitality of Lina and Marco. The location is a 5 minute walk from a subway station and very close to Vatican City. I...

Marco and Lina are the sweetest couple ever! They welcomed us so warmly into their B&B. They are always so helpful and always have the loveliest smiles on their faces! :) The room was clean and spacious. It felt very homely! :) The location is excellent as well, just a 10 min walk away from Vatican City and the metro...

Not your average hotel or B & B! In their small apartment tucked away on the fourth floor of a residential building, Lina and Marco seem to have made it their job to be as welcoming as possible to everyone. The expression 'my home is your home' is over used but here it was exactly what happened. Owing to repair...

This place is beautiful. It is a traditional building in Rome and Lina and Marco (the owners) are a lovely italian couple who made us feel very welcome. We booked the private ensuite shower double bed room, and it has everything needed. Just remember this is a B+B not a hotel so don't expect complete luxury but still it was...

We stayed here during August 2013 and it was fantastic. It was very close to the Vatican city - only a short walk away and the metro was also very close which meant easy access all around the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast every morning which was delicious. We did have a little bit...

Fabulous location: A short walk from the Ottaviano Metro Stop, and half a mile from the Vatican. Ideal Hosts: Marco and his wife met us at the door and took us up to our lovely room in the apartment, complete with high ceilings and tiled floors. They were friendly, hospitable, helpful, and not the least bit intrusive. So we had...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
