The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was simple but a great value considering the price. The location is ideal for first time tourists in Rome, very central to all the major sites.
My only issue was the beds. The booking said king size bed...More
I had a one night layover in Rome and this was just right. Walking distance to all the main sights, and with a no-nonsense single room with a wonderful shower. I hope to make this my regular Rome stop.
We loved the Hotel Portoghesi. We had four people in a suite, and we had more than enough room. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, we loved having breakfast on the open rooftop every morning, and the location cannot be...More
Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast to start the day. This was our second stay here and we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Rome. Walking distance to everything we go to Rome for.

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
