The hotel is near the train terminal, but the service is terrible. The room is dirty. They don't change the bed sheets. I was itching all over my body and had rashes. There is no air conditioning, I could not sleep the 3 nights I stayed there. The TV does not work and no English channels. Bad quality food for breakfast.

Internet is awful. We had several connection problems on our week at regio. Room door's have that spring mechanism, so they tend to shut in quite a slam if yoy don't hold it... wich is pretty much what happens with many other rooms in our corridor. Because it is all covered wirh marble, conversations in the corridor seem to be...

Just back from Hotel Regio. Well situated hotel, small though comfortable room, mine had a fridge. Nice bathroom, helpful reception staff. I found breakfast fine, no complaints. Very hard bed! I would return.

Stayed here at the end of January and the rates were excellent for Rome. Around £32 per night. The hotel was very clean and in good condition. Maria was extremely friendly and welcoming, as were the other receptionists. The rooms ARE small by any standards, but the standard of finish is high with wc , bidet, shower cubicle, TV (NO...

Had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here on route to the cruise dock. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff are quite helpful and pleasant. The room was rather small but all we needed was a place to sleep after a long day of sight seeing - room was really clean and well appointed. The free breakfast...

The hotel in one word, perfect. The was a 10-15 minute walk to Central Rome which isn't a problem considering the amount of walking we did anyways. We we're given a balcony room and we we're pleased with the room size and the amenities considering most European based hotels are cramped and non-spacious. It's right beside Termini Station which is...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
