Francesco is a great host. His B&B is located in a nice neighborhood, away from the crowds but still within walking distance to the major sights. We are a family of four (two teenagers) and had both rooms for five days in Rome. It was an ideal base for exploring the city, with plenty of dinning options nearby. We ate...

This place is the best place I've ever stayed in Rome and beats all options for travelers looking for inexpensive, clean, and a "local" experience in lodging in one of the most interesting parts of Rome, the neighborhood of Trastevere. My son and I took the place over, two separate bedrooms, a great bathroom, fantastic host Francesco, fridge full of...

We stayed at Loggetta di Trastevere for three nights in April and could not have had a more perfect stay. Francesco, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful in recommending places to eat, how to get around, providing maps and the kind of advice it is sometimes hard to get as a tourist in a place like Rome. His B&B...

We spent six nights at this little B&B and loved it! Francesco, the young owner and host, completely remodeled the place and it is decorated beautifully. We had many wonderful conversations with Francesco who loves to practice his English -- it's pretty good already -- and enjoyed the opportunity to get his perspective about Italy. It was one of the...

This little B&B is a great place to stay in a very good location in the less hectic but still central part of Trastevere. Close to transportation and nice walks gets you everywhere in the city. The two rooms are very cosy, clean and have all you need. Shared bathroom but this turned out to be no problem, recently refurbished...

We truly enjoyed staying at Loggetta di Trastevere for 4 nights while in Rome on holiday. The rooms are really nicely decorated, the bigger room even has a balcony and the rooms are very big and comfortable. The newly renovated bathroom was a treat. The Host, Francesco, was so friendly, accommodating and helpful. His English was great. He really went...

The bed and breakfast was excellent. Nice and cousy rooms, clean rooms and bathroom, good breakfast (Francesco asks what kind of bread you want: croissants, chocolate bread, muffins, donuts, etc..), every two days new bedlinnen and towels. You are allowed to take soda, wine, beer and water from the fridge for free. Francesco is very kind ands speaks English very...

Living in Rome for nine months as a student years ago, I wanted to find the perfect spot and location to stay for my honeymoon this past summer. I did just that. Loggetta is in the best neighborhood in Rome, Trastevere. It is located right by the tram (the only consistently effective source of public transportation in Rome) that will...

Logetta is located in a less touristic part of Trastevere, which is just what we were looking for, not far from public transportation and the Piazza San Cosimato with its local Cafes and Restaurants it was ideally located for our taste. Francesco was a more then kind and friendly host and was very eager to please us and help us...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
