We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights prior to boarding our cruise in May 2017. Excellent location in a quiet side street. Close to everything...Termini Station, restaurants, shops, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Standard rooms are small though. I suggest that you book the deluxe room. friendly and helpful staff. Highly commended.

Just got back from a long weekend in Rome. The Britannia Hotel was the perfect location for our trip, with all the main attractions within walking distance. My wife and I were not planning to stay in Rome during our Italian honeymoon, but when we realized we would be flying into Rome and that the train we needed to take to our next destination left early in the morning out of Rome Termini, we decided that it didn't make sense not to stay. Rome is an expensive...

We stayed at the Hotel Britannia for three nights. Very friendly, helpful and responsive staff to all of our needs and inquiries. Central location, close to the train station and major sites (except the Vatican) a definite plus. Wonderful resuarants near by in easy walking distance. Rooms a bit small, but clean, comfortable, quaint and affordable. Great choice for the...

This Hotel is a real little gem. Stayed here in a standard room for 5 nights in the beginning of May 2017. This Hotel is in a great location very close to the Termini Station where most people arrive when visiting Rome. On arrival into reception we were greeted by friendly professional & very helpful staff who couldn't do enough...

The staff at the front desk is awesome! Rooms are a little small though. Bathroom was spacious, but I wasn't a fan of the glass that only covered half of the shower tub. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. Breakfast in the morning is fantastic!!

The hotel staff is wonderful & the location is perfect for seeing the sights in Rome. The staff goes above & beyond in helping make your stay enjoyable.....from helping with all transportation needs to great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is very comfortable and just what I was expecting for a boutique style hotel (comfy beds too!). The breakfast each morning...

For 220 euros a night in a large city, I guess this is what you get. After coming from another 4 star hotel in Sorrento, and seeing the huge difference in what you get, it was a little disheartening when arriving to our room. The photos of the hotel online are misleading. Mind you, these photos I took are after...

We will never stay any place else. Very friendly staff always willing to go out of their way to help. A must stay when visiting Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
