We stayed here for 3 nights in May and had a very comfortable time Location: The B&B is very close to the train station and Santa Maria Maggiore is a great landmark to find the place. However given the way the sights are spread out in Rome, i believe staying closer to the Colosseum would have been much better. It...

The hotel is perfectly located near Termini station. Breakfast are excellent and served in a nice kitchen! Rooms are very spacious and B&B is very clean and very well decorated. We would totally recommend a stay at City Mood.

We spent there 3 nights in early May when Rome was overcrowded due to Jan Paul's beautification, and more central locations were busy. Although our Italian frieans were a bit skeptical about the area (Rome Chinatown), we felt quite comfortable and safe there. Underground station is very close, and the walk to Termini Station takes 7-10min. As with all apartment...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
