After a beautiful stay in Sicily over the Christmas, my wife and I and our 11 month old baby boy headed for a few days in Rome. At the airport the incredibly inneficient tourist information desk encouraged us to book into this hotel. Aside from a friendly greeting on arrival this was our worst hotel experience ever. The room was...

We stayed in the four star Traiano for four nights in late Sept 2005. I agree with an earlier review that this is not a four star standard. Our room was nice enough, but the bathroom was only ok. Everything was functional, but not of a high standard. If you get a room towards the street you can forget about...

One of the worst hotel I have ever seen. It does not even merit two stars. We went there for a beautiful romantic long week-end and the hotel was a big disappointment. Positive points are the location and the concierge's friendliness and willingness to help. The room was small, the TV was not working (we were then told it was...

Stayed at the Hotel Traiano for 3 nights and thought it was great. The staff was very helpful at all times. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and drive us to the hotel, helped us figure out how to use a phone card, called cabs for us, let us eat breakfast late after oversleeping...

I read the reviews after booking and was very worried!, i stayed for 3 nights in May 05 and we had no problems at all, granted the lift was a bit rickety and the rooms aren't huge but the location is excellent and the hotel is very clean. I asked for a room facing the courtyard as opposed to the...

I stayed in the four star Traiano for two night in early May 2005. I agree with an earlier review that this is not a four star standard. Our room was nice enough, but the bathroom had seen better days. Everything was functional, but in a sorry state. If you get a room towards the street you can entirely forget...

I stayed at this hotel over New Years. It was listed as a 4 star hotel. That is ridiculous. It was a 1 or 2 star hotel. Good Things: The gentlemen who worked the front desk was terrific. He was helpful and friendly, gave us great recommendations. He was wonderful. This hotel is in a great location. You can walk...

Just came back from a mid winter's break in Rome (Jan 2005) and spent a wonderful weekend at the Hotel Traiano. The Hotel Traiano is right in the heart of Rome with Via Nazionale at the top of the hill (nice shopping street), Piazza Venezia, Trajan's Column, The Colosseo, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Via del Corso (another...

I chose this hotel on the internet for it's location, 4 star rating and promise of a full English Breakfast. Sadly little of this was true except location. It is situated on a main road and the facade goes round three corners. The breakfast was cold buffet breakfast, not full English but more to the point was the condition of...

This is our second stay at the Traiano, and we were a little worried having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, but decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Our stay was excellent, I negotiated a good price for our 3 night stay. We had an excellent room (very small bathroom, but common in European hotel), with...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
